Super good Sushi, sashimi and miso, full of flavor and beautifully presented. The service was fast and the food presented was introduced clearly by the person serving us.

One of my favorite restaurants when visiting the San Diego with my family on holiday through the state. Sitting at the sushi bar is good and getting a table even better and talking with the staff is great. Get there early because the lines are...More

QUICKIE REVIEW Yes, do it. FOOD Arguably, the number one genuine sushi spot in San Diego let alone America. You would be hard pressed to go here and not find everything you are eating is fresh, as it should it be. Here is the breakdown...More

We went for dinner (reservation is suggested) and order 2 different combos to try different sushi (they come with Miso soup), and an extra order of Sea Urchin. Honestly the best I've ever tried, and I'm a big fan. Everything was delicious, service was really...More

Sushi ota has been there standard bearer for good sushi in San Diego. I have been there many times and the quality remains high. The prices are a bit expensive but you will get good sushi. Highly recommended.

I'm now convinced that you folks in San Diego have really awful fish, because if you think Sushi Ota is good, you need to get out in the world. I dined here last week and expected some really fabulous fish (sashimi in particular). The fish...More

My hotel was near, so I did choose to go to Sushi Ota, as I read good reports on Google. It was a bit difficult to find a parking (hint, it's behind the restaurant). I just dropped in to find it very busy and crowded....More
