Came here because it had the shortest lines. They got us in within 10 minutes. Service was quick and competent. Chips arrived within minutes and came with excellent salsa and cheese & jalapeño dip. Our fish tacos exploded with great flavors and textures - both the classic (Alaskan pollock) and swordfish versions. They were accompanied with robust refried beans and... More

Everything about this place is a positive. It's in a festive part of Old Town with twinkle lights in all directions. Parking is a breeze, since they have their own lot behind the restaurant. You can sit inside or out. The outside patio at night is REALLY cool and has heaters if it's a bit chilly. And then there's the... More

Modest prices (except for the drinks) in a very nice atmosphere. We ate here twice in the week we visited and both times had wonderful food and fast friendly service. The skirt steak was so tender and nothing was overcooked. Thanks to the cooks, the veggies were perfect, the steak medium rare and the seasonings just right. The salsa and... More

As a native of San Diego, and because I'm old (67), I am objectively an authority on an inherently subjective topic - Mexican food. We were in Old Town for a play and were hungry for an early Saturday dinner right after the matinee. Despite it being early (5PM), nearly all of the Mexican restaurants were packed, except for, amazingly,... More

We went to Miguel's with 20 people and we were treated so positively in both the bar and the restaurant. We got there early and went into the bar on the night of December 28th and were served by the nicest girl. We then met the rest of our party (about half kids) and were seated at a long table.... We knew when we saw people in line to get in that we would have to try out this restaurant. The restaurant is on the main street in old town. We sat outside in a covered patio area with heaters. It was a lovely atmosphere. The serving staff were the most attentive of all the restaurants that we had been... More

A very busy restaurant but we were able to get in without a wait or a reservation. The menu had a very large selection. The meals we ordered were large and very tasty. The service was also good. The only complaint was that the restaurant was loud making conversation difficult. Overall, we would definitely do it again.

At the end of a great family reunion we agreed that a Mexican dinner in Old Town was the perfect end to the weekend. Luckily they were able to reserve space for our group of 15 or so on a very busy Sunday night! Service was a little bit slow but understandable due to the very full house. We cousins... More

Had lunch at Miguel's in Old Town. They have a small parking lot behind the restaurant off the side street which is nice because parking sometimes is hard to find in Old Town. Food is wonderful as always and the service is always great. Make sure to ask for the white sauce when they bring your salsa and chips. It... More
