We stopped in for lunch yesterday for BBQ. Very plain and homey inside with terrific wait staff. I asked if I could get a full rack of ribs instead of the rib dinner offered. The waitress checked with the kitchen and...no problem. So I had some of the best BBQ ribs I have ever had. Fall off the bone, very... More

I ordered the two meat plate with brisket and pulled pork, with pinto beans and fried okra for sides. I thought the portion sizes were large. I enjoyed the pulled pork and pinto beans very much. The brisket was a little dry; I wish it had a little more fat on it. The okra needed some seasoning, but it seems... More

In the company of two of my Grandaughter's and my Father we saw the BBQ sign and veered to the parking lot...ABSOLUTLY NO DISSAPOINTMENT! It was like eating at home...the hostess was kind, sweet and attentive. The food "clean", bountiful and tasteful. The meats were definitivly prepared with care and the knowledge of how to cook with heat and not... More

My boys and I picked this place based on the number of cars parked outside. Good choice! Tasty BBQ and good prices!

While the meat was flavored really well, they miss the boat on other things. Pulled pork was room temp and not warm. Waitress wouldn't let us sit where we wanted because we had 4 people and not 5. The bench out front was broken. Our group of 4 ate for $60 plus tip, no drinks or desserts. This place could... More

Good food. Chicken tenders dinner is 4 breasts breaded and fried, tasty and good value. Pulled pork also good.

Our family tried Danny's for an early dinner, and it was terrific! 6 of us ate for $63 + the tip. Our waitress was very attentive and the food was in generous portions. We tried brisket, ribs, a chopped barbecue sandwich and "the Flip," an interesting dish that was almost like a southwestern burger quesadilla. It was so filling that... More

The three of us shared a wide range of BBQ'd foods...all were yummy and each of us had a favorite...mine by far was the pulled pork. Definitely visit. Its a friendly family-like place. The food culture in Carlsbad is pretty limited...this being the only dinner place worth a visit, in our opinion.
