Very good service and accommodation of us with our 1 year old. The wine list was more approachable than I expected. We ended up getting a bottle decent Burgundy with 10 years of age for $80. We had several terrines (which were all fantastic), but the pickles were strikingly tasty. The duck liver mouse was worth writing home about...ridiculously good.... More

The maitre d' managed to seat the four of us in no time at all, even though it was a busy evening and had no reservations. The paté I had for starters one of the most enjoyable I've ever had. The main course, pasta with duck, was a bit overworked with too many ingredients to my taste. The wine was... More

Our party of 3 meandered in 5-10 minutes apart during a busy Sunday afternoon. The maître-d took good care of us and sat us in a nice booth. The food is well-seasoned and high quality, but I feel like the wine selection by the glass is pretty pricey. We spent $240 for 1 charcuterie plate, 1 salad, 2 burgers, and... More

We ate here the day after election day while visiting Lincoln Center. It was such a great meal. Our server, Leenie was terrific. We had a great meal in a relaxing environment. We were shocked at how busy it got during a rainy lunch day. Glad we stopped in.

We ate at Bar Boulud yesterday for Thanksgiving dinner. Overall, the food was terribly disappointing and flavorless. The flame appetizer was a little "flatbread", the soup was not hot and tasteless. The salmon and the beef tartare were "fine", but hardly worth talking about. The duck breast was not hot or crispy (I was served the turkey at first, which... More

The waitstaff were super helpful. I was in a rush because I had to catch a show. The hostess helped us chose meals that would be done quickly and made sure our food came out quickly. I loved sitting in the back of the restaurant at a circular bar style table. The beet salad is a must get. It looked... More

Being from "out of town", finding a 'special' place to eat in NYC is always a challenge. Friends took me to Bar Boulud and it turned into a wonderful dinner; the interior is modern with comfortable lighting and interesting decorating details. Service was prompt, not fussy and efficient. And the food was great! On the expensive side, which is OK... More

I was so disappointed when we visited Bar Bolud in August. I have been to Restaurant Daniel, every time here in The City, but this was our first time at Bar Bolud. The place was crowded, so we decided to eat outside. Service was spotty; sometimes quick and often not. The major problem was with the food. I had a... More

We arrived early and were seated at a communal table. A waiter was there immediately offering us a drink. While we waited we were served a delightful cheese puff, fresh and hot from the kitchen. Even the wait was great. Our table waiter was very knowledgeable and suggested the trout entree which was excellent. All of our courses were special... More
