Spent a couple of hours here whilst on a weekend trip to NYC. The music and atmosphere was buzzing mainly catering for a mature crowd which suited us. Table service fast and efficient. Highly recommend.

Nice small bar who had a live 3 piece band the night we were there. One waitress worked the room who was efficient and pleasant. The drink selection as good and the cocktail was wonderful. Will go back again after another Broadway show.

This is a lovely neighborhood bar in the Theatre district tucked in next to the W Hotel. It is wonderfully dimly lit with an extensive list of classic cocktails. The wait staff is incredibly friendly and attentive.

I had been to this bar on a previous visit to New York when I stayed at The Edison. On this visit we needed to fill an hour before the Theatre. The drinks are good, nice atmosphere and it has never been too busy when I have visited. It is nice sitting by the windows just people watching and i... More

The Rum House features excellent live jazz. The drinks are expensive but that is a necessity when there's no cover.

We stopped in the Rum House for a drink prior to the theater. Wonderful bartender, beautiful, old bar, fantastic ambience. A terrific experience.

Great place to have some drinks and listen to good music. Beautiful atmosphere and nice service. There is no real food, but some quick snacks are available. The bar is attached to the Edison Hotel, just a little walk away from Times Square and Broadway, and is open until 3am (at least on Saturdays). Good array of drinks. I'd defenitly... More

Blond bartender with tattoos was extremely rude! Live music was good, but loud in the lively atmosphere. A gentleman near me was trying so hard to give his order to the blond...I could understand it but for some reason she couldn't, and I was taken aback with how incredibly rude she was to him. No fear of the B-word going... More

Stumbled upon this place much to our delight as it happened to be a night we simultaneously scored a hard-to-come-by-table while also being able to enjoy the throaty blues of a live blues female singer. Decor is tasteful step back in time with an array of hand-crafted cocktails that will make any hipsters heart sing. The place was filled with... More

This was one at our hotel. Staff were so friendly and made us feel welcome. Made a delicious vodka shampers and lemon had one nightly before hitting the sack. Well done all.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
