Great Ramen but a little over-priced. The restaurant is cool and you can feel East Village vibe. Great chicken wings.

When I fly to NY this is a mandatory stop. I find there the best Kimchi stew and Pork Bun! WOW! Go there! Don't be afraid to wait online, it is definitely worth it!

We had an outstanding dinner here. They have very good wine and beer. The majority of us had the pork bowl, very delicious. The desserts were good, I expected better because of the Milkbar. Expect a very long wait for larger groups.

I go to this place everytime I'm in NYC. I get cravings for the Momofuku Noodles. Great Kimchi also. Lunch time is best if you don't want to wait too long to get a seat.

The food here is marvelous, as is the value, but the wait time is out of control. They need to take cell numbers instead of making their potential clientele huddle indoors or out for OVER AN HOUR!!! Beware: the costs mount quickly when you order multiple apps and drinks, but it's all delicious.

I went to Momofuku noodlebar on a weekend afternoon. There was a small wait to get seated at one of their tables - they only have long family style benches, so you end up sitting with strangers wherever there is an opening. We were lucky enough to get the end of the table for a party of two. Their menu... More

Simple and changing menu. Ramen and noodles are a must. Good flavor and fast service. Would like to try more dishes but it was late (menu is reduced by 12am).

We had the fried chicken special (one southern fried chicken and one Korean fried chicken, plus sides, feeds 4-8, but only available at pre-made, early and late reservation times), and the chicken was exceptional, deserving its rating on one site as the 4th best fried chicken in the country. What really impressed us as much as the food was how... More

It is very packed and the stools are not comfortable...however, the food is great! I suggest the brisket buns if you are not vegetarian or vegan. They give you 2 in the order. Definitely a great starter. Also, the wings were delicious as well. Not fried! I ordered the hot scallion noodle dish. It was good, however extremely salty. If... More

Staying in East Village

Neighbourhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighbourhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighbourhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
