Lots of great choices. Service was fast and efficient. Everything was quite good, tho my personal taste had favs and less favs. We were a big group and had reservations - a must during busy times.

We came upon Red Egg by accident, the first time, while we were in ChinaTown, but now we go out of our way to eat there on almost each of our 2 trips a year to NYC. The dumplings are outstanding.

This place was an absolute surprise! A great friend organized a birthday dinner here. Most reviews on red egg are about their dim sum but their dinner is not to be missed. The peking duck, sea bass and pastrami dishes were first rate! Yes!!! I...More

went for Dim Sum with a friend.Biz associate. Though considerably more expensive than the Chinatown Standby on Chatham Sq, the food was very good, nice ambience and great service.

MUST COME! Classy chinese cuisine. Dishes are very tasty here and authentic. They serve dim sum, entrees, appetizers and a full bar. I really enjoy their noodle soup a lot. From wonton, sliced fish with squash to sliced pork with veggies. You will definitely leave...More

Red egg has very fresh food and the setting is clean and modern. They have a bar up front so a variety of alcoholic beverages is available. Another thing is this dim sum restaurant doesn't have the usual carts floating around with a nice lady...More

Unfortunately, I saw no gluten free options on the menu. Possibly there's a special menu if you ask.

Originally opened in 2008 as both a Peruvian and Cantonese restaurant, owner and culinary director Darren Wan decided to reconceptualize the already successful restaurant in 2010 into the chic, upscale and exclusively Cantonese format that it is today.

Melding traditional Chinese cuisine with a hip and contemporary venue, RED EGG caters to those looking for excellence in their cuisine as well as in the ambiance they want to enjoy it in. In addition to the Cantonese and Szechuan specialties menu, RED EGG features classic Cantonese dim sum throughout the day.

Recently awarded the Bib Gourmand rating in the MICHELIN Guide New York City 2011. Don't forget to try the Peking Duck Sliders, Pan Fried Dumplings and Red Egg Filet Mignon to name a few.
