Lovely food. My husband had the salmon with delicious Rosemary potatoes. I had chicken and it was perfect. Best meal we had in NYC. Friendly waiters and prompt service

Scarpetta is one of my favorite Italian spots in the city. My go-to is their homemade spaghetti. It is freshly made and cooked to the perfect texture. They also serve a complimentary bread basket with three awesome spreads. The ambience is pretty romantic (although I've only ever been here with girlfriends). The lighting is dim and the walls and floor... More

First time visiting this restaurant and very impressed with the food quality and service. They have a very good wine list for this of us who loves wine. The only observation I can made is that lighting was very dim so for every look at the menu you need the help of your cell phone light.

Saturday night dinner with 3 other friends. Had an 8:00 reservation and seated immediately. Tables nicely spaced apart. Efficient service with drink orders served quickly. Menu has a nice variety of appetizers and entrees. Two of us shared a delicious tagliatelle entree as an appetizer. Another friend had the beet salad. Nice sized portions. Watch out for the delicious bread!... More

Visited with a friend over the holidays and some of the nicest food I have ever tasted. The yellowtail tuna was superb along with the short rib and bone marrow agnolloti, would highly recommend it to anyone! Black cod was nice but tasted better elsewhere. Service was very good but it's what you would expect for the price. Overall expensive... More

We dined at Scarpetta over the holidays having a reservation for 6 pm. You need reservations for this popular restaurant so if you go online you can book it very easily. The service was excellent, the food delicious and very detailed in their presentation and ingredients. Off the dessert menu, we tried the cheesecake (wonderful) and chocolate mousse also wonderful.... More

This is a must visit restaurant if in NYC. There are so many to choose from and I went to several that were much more expensive but this is impossible to beat. We had polenta and the beet salad as an appetizer and short rib agnolotti and duck ravioli as an entree. The flavors were remarkable and memorable as well... More

A crazy busy, moodlit NY restaurant packed full of martini guzzling, well dressed patrons on a Monday night. Fabulous Duck & Fois Gras ravioli, the spaghetti was pretty damn perfect and although the black cod dish was delicious, the intensely roasted tomatoes that sat underneath were the highlight. And the bread at the start - i know, it's just bread... More

Description
Scarpetta is LDV Hospitality's signature restaurant concept that first launched in New York's Meatpacking District. The Italian expression, "fare la scarpetta," describes the gesture of taking the little boot-shaped piece of bread to soak up the remaining sauce left in the pot of one's home kitchen. In 2008, Scarpetta received a James Beard nomination for 'Best New Restaurant in America' as well as a coveted three-star review from the New York Times.
