5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed yesterday NEW

Started with a nice glass of prosecco and the husband had an old fashion. Nice start to a lovely evening. We both had a glass of rose next with the special pasta of ravioli in a truffle butter sauce. OMG was that good. We next had the halibut and the black cod both of which were excellent. Even though I... More

Get the tasting menu. It was incredible. A bit of a wait on a Sunday night but the food compensates for the service.

The atmosphere at this restaurant is great for no more than a party of 4. We were a party of 6 and the restaurant is too noisy for a large party to have a conversation. Read the menu before you go as the prices are expensive considering the size of the dishes. We enjoyed our dinner however I would not... More

I visited during restaurant week and I was in love. I make Scott Conant's Scarpetta Tomato-Basil sauce at home and wanted to see how mine held up to theirs. Their sauce was really good, especially on fresh pasta. The service was impeccable, as good stands along side 5 star joints. The service, decor, and presentation put this place on my... More

No reservations available so we sat at the bar. Great time and great food. Tried the faves mentioned in other reviews. Not disappointed. Service was fast - probably better than at a table.

I love the place. Food is what it should bee, good, wonderful, lots of tastes. You pay, but you enjoy. Everything was perfect. They are loud, but so are peapole in Andalucia, where I live. Such a wonderful experience. Do go.

Atmosphere and crowd pretty pretentious and front desk staff very rude, very loud and crowded. The veal dish I believe it was pork, (someone else noticed that), the place is a well-presented scam. Food is nothing and, trust me and read my other reviews, I do dine out a lot and also go to fine places. Horrible services, horrible front... More

My husband and I ate at Scarpetta on January 22. He enjoyed the spaghetti and I loved the Duck foie gras ravioli. We had the espresso budino and the chocolate cake for dessert. I do not have the right adjectives to describe the yumminess of the cake. I have been remembering it fondly for the past 5 days. I had... More

Description
Scarpetta is LDV Hospitality's signature restaurant concept that first launched in New York's Meatpacking District. The Italian expression, "fare la scarpetta," describes the gesture of taking the little boot-shaped piece of bread to soak up the remaining sauce left in the pot of one's home kitchen. In 2008, Scarpetta received a James Beard nomination for 'Best New Restaurant in America' as well as a coveted three-star review from the New York Times.
