After deciding on my menu choice, I switched when offered the specials of the day. They sounded delicious and you can often find some gems going with the specials. I ordered carrot soup and Seared duck breast with mashed sweet potatoes and sautéed Arugula. The carrot soup was just that. If you like the flavor of fresh sweet carrots, this... More

Great location, well appointed, a nice place to sit and there it ends. We had both dinner and breakfast here and each time we lost our server. Food is decent but you'll struggle to get a second cup of coffee and you should always check if you are being charged for same. This is a typical restaurant in the Times... More

This is the perfect location for dinner before or after the theater in a cozy restaurant. If you go at 6:30 expect it to be busy, but at 7:30 it is empty. We had escargot for an app. It was a good dish, but be sure to save some bread for dipping. The two dishes we had were the short... More

We stopped into Brasserie Athenee before going to see "Kinky Boots" for a light lunch and a drink. The atmosphere was wonderful. The food and service were good. I had a cosmopolitan and a crepe. Two family members had the 5 cheese onion soup. The third person had the Tapas. We all enjoyed our light meal and cocktails. This restaurant... More

My husband and I watched the election results with the staff and other patrons of Brasserie Athenee. The bartender was great, the waiters were too. The food was delicious and the wine selection was fairly extensive for this small corner restaurant in the heart of Times Square.

We saw this restaurant many times in the past, and finally had the opportunity to try it. we were not disappointed. while there are very few original and typical greek specialties, we tried two wonderful dishes: the special beef bourgognon, and the monkfish. both were prepare perfectly, tasty and tender. The monkfish came over ratatouille, which was perfectly seasoned. we... More

We were not rushed. The portions were bigger and we expected. We ordered too much and were disappointed we could not finish everything. The Cesare with chicken seemed to have two chicken breasts sliced into nice long pieces. The monk fish was wonderful in a nice bed of cooked vegetables.

My wife and I stopped here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. The place was reasonably full, but there were some tables open. The fellow who greeted us (owner?) did not want to seat us at a 4 person table, I assume because there were only 2 of us. Instead, he directed a party of 4, that came in after... More

Last night after enjoying a performance at the nearby Imperial Theatre, we enjoyed a snack here. We had two glasses of wine, reasonably priced for NYC, and two appetizers, one a Mediterranean tapas plate, and the other squid. Both were delicious. Our waitress was appropriately attentive to our needs. Recommended.

Came for breakfast with my family. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. Service a little slow as so busy but people queueing out the door. Food was absolutely amazing. Would recommend.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
