I am somewhat surprised by some of the other reviews and am wondering if people mixed this restaurant up with a different one. Let's start with trying to rectify that a bit with addressing some things folks said in other reviews: This is NOT a...More

A very authentic Korean restaurant that's 100% vegan! The food, the service, the decor, everything was amazing! When you enter, you're kindly asked to take off your shoes, then you make your way to your table and you sit on cushins on the floor, however,...More

You need to know what you're getting into when you go here. If you do and are up for it, it's tremendous. Fixed price menus and very expensive. Vegan. Japanese, but not your "normal" Japanese fare. Every dish was exquisite, both to look at and...More

NB. this is the current location for Kajitsu, the 9th St location has been closed for quite some time. I was quite disappointed to find that my favourite kaiseki restaurant in New York, Sugiyama, had closed so spent some time looking for alternatives. As a...More

We have been to Kajitsu as it was highly recommended. We were astonished by the very limited menu and the very high prices. The food was fine, but definitely not worth to go.

We ordered a full menu including surprising and delicious recipes quite difficult to describe because esoteric, very complex and full of small different tastings. The simple list cannot give the idea...More

I love this place. It is my go-to restaurant in NYC. I never thought vegan food could be this good. The food is delicious and creative. There is a different set menu every month, and they are inspired.

This restaurant reminded me of a celebrated Kyoto vegetarian restaurant I visited years ago. It was special in Kyoto, but to get to eat this carefully prepared food in New York is amazing. While expensive, I highly recommend the tea tasting menu---incredible range of flavours.

Simple decor, attentive service. The omakase changes every month and it's not always up to expectations. The place is expensive, but a nice refuge.
