We were looking for a steakhouse and decided based on location to go to Frankie & Johnnie's. The restaurant is a little dated and the staff are very stack up. Service was slow and when asking a staff member for something the answer is you need your waiter. The restaurant is pricey for what you get and the food feels... More

My wife and I arrived early - about 3:20pm. The restaurant wasn't even open yet but they welcomed us in. Service was very good and so was the food. I had filet mignon and lobster tail , and my wife had chicken parm - both were very good. We would return here again for dinner!

I had been to their old location on 45th St. and also the garment district location and always enjoyed the meals. We decided to try the new (about a year) 46th St. restaurant before the theatre. We ordered from the three course pre-theatre menu. Not a bad deal for $55 per person. The food and service were very good. From... More

For a NYC steakhouse, it was just okay. The sides were delicious, the Chilean SeaBass was yummy, but the steak was very fatty for Prime Rib. It was a good experience, but we will not be going back. For the money we spent, there are plenty of other fantastic restaurants we can go to.

My Husband and I had a great date night dinner. I have been to their old location, they moved to their new location earlier this year. We had a nice leisurely dinner of steak and lobster tail both were cooked just the way we like. I would recommend this place, this is my second visit. It seems a little overpriced... More

We had so many discretely weird service encounters here. First, at the bar, it took a long time to be acknowledged then the bartender gave us all wrong beers. A guy sitting at the bar suggested we just take them because he said it takes forever to get fixed! When seated, our waiter was literally sniffling (or more like snorting)... More

Easily the best steak I've ever had!! The service was good. We booked before which was probably best. I wished we went more than once.

We traveled from Puerto Rico to celebrate my husband's 50th Birthday. The service and food was excelent. Our waiter, Manolo was great.

There are better steakhouses in New York. It was okay but not worth going back to. If you like an old-style steakhouse close to Theater District then this is ok. Gallagher's is better.

My wife and I ordered a Porterhouse Steak cooked medium to share along with creamed spinach, broccoli and a potato side with two glasses of Malbec wine. The food was good although the steak arrived medium rare. Including tax and tip, $232. Although we enjoyed the meal, it didn't feel like a £200+ meal.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
