I was taken here for a business lunch and the look and atmosphere is of an expensive restaurant so I was surprised to see burgers on the menu. Due to the current ridiculous (over)cooking rules in the UK, I was desperate to have a proper burger in its home of New York. Luckily, my hosts understood and even followed suit... More

Obviously, you expect to pay top dollar at a top steakhouse but you also expect the best in return. We got that at CG. Service from start to finish was excellent. The food was well prepared and the steak tender and perfectly cooked. Had high expectations from visits to other CG locations, and despite that they met them. Aside from... More

Capital Grille has been on my bucket list of NYC restaurants to try for some time, and we finally had dinner there Sunday night. Not too busy, we arrived early & sat at the bar & waited for #1 son. Other reviews have mentioned this, but I concur that the bar service is excellent, wouldn't mind eating there next time.... More

I really enjoyed this restaurant. Timing was to our advantage because it was not early but not too late and we were seated quickly. The food was excellent and our servers wine suggestion was spot on. The atmosphere was good and the actual seating was cozy. Most importantly , the steak was awesome... really. Don't walk by , walk in.

We popped in and had a table in the bar, it was great! Good (huge) meat and great drinks. Special thanks to Mike, You are right - we never managed to find a better cheescake in Manhattan than Yours. ;) We will be back!

Good food in a very nice setting. The New York stip was my favorite but the tuna was not far behind.

Capital Grille serve fantastic steaks. It's a bit on the expensive side, but worth the money. We found it was cheaper to buy a bottle of wine rather than by the glass. Would recommend you reserve a table or go early before it gets busy

This is my 3rd visit to the Capital grille, though my 1st in this particular location. As per usual, decor and layout is familiar and very tasteful. Servers were knowledgeable, patient and engaging. We were sat in a booth (as requested) with a view of the kitchen and fairly close to the main entrance/reception area. As per usual, the food... More

As a lover of good and international cuisine, New York has completely disillusioned me and Capital Grill was by far the worst restaurant in 4 days big apple! Service desert America I can only say!! We had reserved a table for 7 people, 5 arrived on time. The extremely unfriendly lady at the front desk gave us very arrogant to... More

We stepped into this restaurant because it was close to an event we were preparing to attend. We did not have reservations. Decided to sit in the bar area so we could see out the windows and the people passing by. Gabriel was our server. He was friendly, funny, polite, efficient, and helpful. My friend had steak (excellent) I had... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
