If you appreciate lobster, then this is the spot for you. I was a little taken aback by the prices. Yes, I know, it is seafood - better yet lobster but $21 for a sandwich, side and chips... I purchased the lobster sandwich, it is not a very large portion size. I was surprised that it was served cold, I... More

This place is in the "The Plaza" hotel and food court. There are plenty of things to choose from but I think Luke's is the best! I ate the trip. This was the crab, shrimp, lobster. There are no fillers in here. It is 100% meat in between these buns. It is 20.00 but so worth it. The lobster is... More

A hole in the wall but that is what this place is about. Come for the Lobster Roll. Expensive but a real pleasure to shell out the dough

Me and my boyfriend tried the Trio rolls (crab roll, lobster roll and shrimp roll) for lunch and from the first bite we where sold and immediately regretted that we already had made dinner plans. I would move to East Village just to be close to Luke's Lobster and be able to eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. That's... More

Small place with only a few places to sit. The lobster rolls were amazing, perfect place for a quick lunch or dinner.

Just a small place and part of a small local chain I think (but doesn't have that chain feel at the east village place) we went late lunchtime and got a seat. We both thought the lobster roll was excellent. There are a few other things on the menu but I think the first time you go it has to... More

Awesome spot for lobster or crab roll lunch. It is on expensive side but it's such a great taste of perfectly cooked lobster and super fresh roll. Definitely recommended if you are in the neighborhood!

Youthful entrepreneurs that have found a winning formula in East Village. There are not many seats (which adds to the charm). If you love lobster and uncomplicated food this is a must do restaurant. You will remember your summer.

Hey Paul, Thank you for the awesome review! We are glad you enjoyed your meal with us. Fun fact: East Village was the very first shack opened by Luke back in 2009. If you were ever looking for a shack with more space, I suggest trying out our Park Slope and Midtown East locations. Thanks again for the review and... More

Omg. Delish. Relatively cheap l, this lobster spot did not disappoint. It was fresh. And normally lobster rolls are all Mayo but this was buttery and all meat. It was divine. Did the taste of Maine to try all the rolls. The crab and lobster were hands down the best! Casual eatery. Don't miss this place!

Staying in East Village

Neighbourhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighbourhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighbourhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
