Because I´m Swedish I just love this little coffeeshop. You can get a variety of Swedish baked goods or you kan have a classic "Skagenmacka" or if you want you can just have a cup of coffee. Me and my mom was in New York for 1 week, and stumbled upon this place the last day sadly. We would have... More

Fika is a good place to grab an espresso coffee drink and snack in this area. Service is good, and the atmosphere is much nicer than Starbucks.

On my morning walk route from the Plaza hotel to the neighbourhood starbucks this joint has such a small storefront that i almost missed it. Open fairly early in the morning it was a great discovery for me as i heartily enjoy my morning coffee! Great coffee and very decent pastries and sandwiches! Service is excellent with the line at... Tired of Starbucks watery coffee? FIKA is a great and qualitative alternative to the coffee shop chains in NYC. Great way to start the day walking to the office. I always try to find one close to my hotel when I'm in NYC.

My son has asked for a single espresso. The kind gentleman gave him a double for no extra cost. It's hard to get that kind of service. We will be back! BTW, the food looked delicious but we were stuffed by the time we got there so we did not have any.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
