Best pizza and Tiramisu in NYC. My wife and I celebrated our 35th Anniversary here. Will definitely be going back.

Wow! The TA reviews of this place were misleading! Our table looked out at the bus station and a top 40 radio station blared in our ears! Margherita pizza was nothing to write home about and antipasto had a few cold cuts, a bit of cheese and a plate of olives-odd...

This tiny restaurant on 9th Ave just behind the Bus Terminal was a great find. We had excellent food - some of the best pizza and burrata at value prices. Even though we were very late to come in, service was still excellent and with a smile. If you're in the area, avoid the commercial places and seek this one... More

Located opposite the port authority you wouldn't really notice this restaurant if you weren't looking out for it. The pizzas were great, the service was fast and the salads were the best I had in NYC. Highly recommended.

Looking for a good NY pizza while in town; many reviews pointed to Capizzi. Fun place in Hell's Kitchen area. All wine is $42/bottle so a little pricey. Pizzas are freshly made and excellent if you enjoy thin crust. Focaccia also excellent and made with the same dough...you can get garlic or plain. Worth a stop, although know that you... More

Capizzi's is located in a unique location in Hell's Kitchen which may not make it your first choice but it's worth the visit. My husband is an unabashed pizza critic and swears there is no good pizza in California so finding a good pizza was on our top 10 list. When we ate at Capizzi's the other night he entered... More

We hadn't booked and waited outside for about 10 minutes for a table to clear. The food was great which was evident as to how popular this place is. I can't always get excited about pizza but this was exceptionally good and served promptly. Everyone one in our party was happy!

We'd spotted Capizzi on a previous evening and thought it looked good. The pizza was indeed excellent. Each of the three of us had different pizzas - mine, the pizza uovo was very well made with a gooey centre. Excellent pannacotta and tiramisu to follow as well. Excellent standard at about standard prices for the area.

Unless very hungry could share one pizza. Could do without the blaring radio!!! Asked the waiter and maitre'd if they could turn it down or put on some nice Italian music. Response: There are no Italian singers! Domingo, Pavarotti, maybe Sinatra, or even Dean Martin singing 'that's amore'! Staff very happy and agreeable (apart from the music issue)!

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
