Reminds me of home - the food and beer. Apart from a latino fella serving us - and mind you, he was super polite and efficient, very nice - the whole place reminds me of the place I come from. Krusovice served to perfection, knedlo-vepro-zelo amazing! Well recommended!

I had the Goats Cheese and Walnut salad, it was excellent!! My husband had grilled smoked sausage, saurkraut and potato wedges which he said was wholesome and tasty! The cafe has a homely feel to it, quite a few local people use it.....always a good sign!!

We went here for breakfast. It is pretty basic inside. The staff are good and the food is wholesome. I had the sausage and eggs which were tasty and filling. My wife had the 3 eggs. Both plates also came with rounds of toast, butter and jam The mugs of hot drinks were generous. Good price. Worth a further visit.

My husband who is from Ostrava, Czech Republic and I went here on Valentine's Day weekend. He said that the dumplings were made fresh, unlike the ones we used to buy frozen. He had a delicious looking vegetable cream dish and said it was very good. I had pork chops with sauerkraut, which was okay. I have had better sauerkraut.... More

Cafe Prague offers a variety of genuine Czech food, not your typical cafe fare. It's small, slightly shabby in a quaint way but the food is really tasty. My husband had the goulash and I had the Czech version of sauerbraten with home made strudel for dessert. Everything was nicely prepared and delicious. There are also lots of sandwich choices... Stopped by Cafe Prague for a late lunch while walking around NYC. A salad and a Rueben Sandwich were both delicious and the Cafe was crowded. The food was served very promptly with little to no wait. Nothing but good to say about this little gem

Staying in Flatiron District

Neighbourhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets- much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighbourhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being the home of a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
