Tried this deli on the suggestion of the concierge for a quick sandwich, and it was a great experience. The staff was very accomodating with specific requests for the construction of my sandwich. There are only about four tables inside on the first level and three or four on the street in front of the deli. There is also seating... More

Early lunch before the crowds arrived. Good choice of healthy or less healthy options. Would happily go back.

We went in here to get a small bite to eat at 7 pm and there was lots on offer. As a coeliac its hard to get food you can eat and the brown rice and quinoa salad caught my attention. However, upon entering we discovered a place at the end of the restaurant where you could pick your own... More

Café Metro offers a very wide range of selections for lunch. Soups, salads, pasta dishes, cous cous, almost anything for a quick lunch. Everything I have tried has been decent.

I had searched places to eat breakfast in advance of our trip, but stumbled across this place on our first morning in the city. I am so pleased I did! We ate here 4 mornings in a row with our children. It was also used by locals which is always a good sign. The range of breakfast on offer was... More

We used the Cafe Metro every day for breakfast during our recent stay in NYC. There are more breakfast options than you could imagine, the food was fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. Cafe Metro is very clean and bright and has a typical NYC feel, busy and bustling.

A great healthy option when you're short on time and wanting to also take good care of yourself as well. We got a hot breakfast at a reasonable price, and I was able to pick up a lunch option for later in the day when I wouldn't be able to get out. Helpful staff, clean setting. Music was a bit... More

On a quest for a late breakfast spot, we found this place. It has changed since the pictures in this profile were taken. It now has a brick oven which is used to make the sandwiches. That's important because the eggplant sandwich I had (cooked in that oven) was one of the best sandwiches I have had anywhere in the... More

Good place for a quick breakfast, nothing out of the ordinary, but a nice little place in a corner of midtown, near central park.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
