Excellent bespoke cocktails. Great speakeasy with very skilled bartenders. Just give them the main component of your drink and Let them surprise you. Insider tip: Take the time to visit the hidden garden in the back while sipping your drink.

Our son took us here for a cocktail. The bar features custom-crafted cocktails, and all six of ours were very good. Choose your flavor profile or a couple of key components and they will craft a cocktail for you. The gin-lavender and rum-asian pear combinations...More

We are really into speakeasy style cocktail bars and came across this recommendation online. We were dining in little Italy so decided to try it out. Walking by, you could easily miss the entrance, in keeping with true prohibition style bars. However, the inside was...More

I assume this place will be closed by the time you read this. Lousy/slow service, over priced, not a cool atmosphere, weak drinks. We drank half our drinks and split. Boooo.

We had after dinner drinks here tonight in the outdoor courtyard. It was a beautiful night and the crowd was lively, and the drinks were good. Great ending of the night.

Three of us decided to try out Mulberry Project one day after work. Terrific courtyard out back on a nice day. The front door has no sign or number so look for a staircase down into the bar. Excellent cocktails. Highly recommend!

You walk in the bar, tell the bartender the ingredients that you like and he will make a drink for you. Which basically meand that every drink is a one of a kind drink.

Pretty low-key for Monday night but still had that intimate feel. Drinks were great that were created on the spot to our liking. Overall a good time and highly recommended in Little Italy

This restaurant/bar is fully reminiscent of the old time speakeasy - right down to being difficult to find even if you are looking for it! We were using our GPS and it said we had arrived, but still couldn't find it! Once I remembered it...More

Description
Mulberry Project is a chic restaurant and subterranean cocktail lounge tucked beneath the 'Mean Streets' of little Italy, and boasting an impressive outdoor garden in the rear. The ever-evolving menu of creative small plates by Chef Michael "Kiwi" Camplin prominently features market fresh, seasonal ingredients and a variety of flavors to please all palates and perfect to share. The market fresh theme continues behind the bar where some of New York City's premier bartenders offer a 'no-menu' approach to cocktails, striking up conversation a and tailoring each guests' libation to his or her particular taste with fresh fruits and exotic ingredients. Installations and exhibitions by notable street artists adorn the walls and outdoor space, harkening a New York that is seldom seen anymore.
