This restaurant was always a great place to go near my apartment. I have brought many omnivores to this place and they all really enjoyed themselves. great atmosphere, great wines. It's too bad they are closing at the end of October 2015. :(

Great place for fine vegan food. Piano bass combo provided background music - not too loud. Service was with a smile and the food was excellent - a wide variety of intriguing dishes - all of which look and sound wonderful. Unfortunately, we could only...More

Situated up in the nose bleed streets of the upper east side is this delightful vegan restaurant. Much care and thought had gone into producing high end vegan dishes. All the items we sampled were tasty and well balanced. It's not cheap so good for...More

It was quite busy on the Saturday evening of my first visit to this absolutely excellent vegan restaurant on the Upper East Side in NYC. But even with a full house, the service was still efficient and the food was still fabulous. The range of...More

The small intimate space has a great lounge vibe without the noise. Comfy booths are the best seating in the house. A great wine selection order by glass bottle or carafe. Wide variety of foods that imitate meat and fish. Lots of Pasta and salad...More

We had a GREAT time at V-Note. No frills. Neighborhood joint. If I lived there, I'd go a lot, but as a non-frequent NYC visitor, I would not go back. I want to try other places AND to me, the food was average. We have...More

The Scallapini is terrific and decor is modern. I have heard recently from friends that fod is not as good as it was. Candle Cafe is an alternative choice in price range.

I celebrated my birthday here with my teenage, non-vegan son and a friend (similarly non-vegan). All the food was beyond my expectations, and a special mention goes to the redbeet ravioli, and the spinach salad. Service was very good and corteous as well. Also the...More

We've been ardent fans of Candle 79 and Blossom for some years now, but V-Note swept them aside on our first visit, not only because these established restaurants have gotten pricey, stuffy and complacent -- especially in terms of the quality of the food and...More

From the creator of Blossom and Café Blossom, comes V-Note, an organic wine bar and vegan bistro set in an elegant, relaxed and inviting space on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. V-Note carries a vast selection of wine and beers, all of which are vegan, organic and/or bio-dynamic and in some cases even kosher, to accompany our completely vegan menu dedicated to fresh gourmet cuisine that is animal-caring. V-Note offers a rare opportunity for vegans and non-vegans alike to enjoy a great, satisfying meal paired with a carefully selected wine and/or beer. A kitchen that is open later fills a much needed niche for vegan restaurants in New York.
