Which is precisely enough reason to go. You get girls in dirndls, and group seating, and currywurst. Authentic enough so as not to be irritating, if you are atmosphere police. The balcony is just great, you get to scan street traffic while you have a...More

Enjoyed the food and drinks as part of a group outing. Was a bit loud for my taste but the beer was good, the service was efficient and the vibe was fun. Especially liked the outdoor perch overlooking 3rd Avenue.

This restaurant has a fab atmosphere with live music and costumed staff. We ordered a mixed platter and we weren't disappointed. Order a litre of beer and join in with the songs.

I found that the food here is quite good especially the currywurst but in addition to being extremely noisy the service is spotty. You also have to hike up some steps to get in and unless you have a larger group it will be iffy...More

Ate lunch here yesterday with a friend. Menu caters pretty exclusively to those who like German cuisine. Staff was friendly, place was clean. Quality of the food was ok but not exceptional. We were seated directly under the sky light and I frequently found the...More

Had friends visiting and knew they would like the assortment of beers. But it was so noisy, both when the live band was playing as well as after, that we had to leave.

Not first timer in NY, but first time at the Bierhaus on 3rd Ave. It looked Munchen traditional from outside and late at night just arriving from the airport, we were starving so my wife and I just popped-in. There was quite a crowd and...More
