I missed one train and had 25 minutes for the next one. So I decided to grab a bite. The food court downstairs had many option. A pita (gyro) sounded good so I stopped here. They were quick and friendly and the gyro was tasty.

At a recent lunch, I enjoyed a gyro sandwich from Eata Pita in the food court at Grand Central Station. The meat was flavorful, the sauce was good, and the shredded lettuce and vegetables made a nice addition to the sandwich--which was, of course, served in a pita. The selection of salads looked good, but the large sandwich was enough... More

I'm Mediterranean, so this place is facing a tough reviewer, but it stacks up pretty well. The pita here is perhaps the freshest and softest I've seen in the city. I had mine pita with chicken breast, and it was really good. All pitas come with your choice of meat, plus they add in some hummus and a salad. Overall,... More

This place defines true New York eating for the average worker, the lines are ridiculous fast, the portion is just right and the price is reasonable. They have a perfect balance of quality, quantity and value. This is one of my favorites place and I regularly get the Chicken breast with rice platter. Their hummus is light and butter, the... More

The first thing I noticed about Eata Pita was how quickly the line was moving. Your order was taken and you received your food by the time you got to the register. The food was delicious, and the prices were relatively cheap. I would definitely eat here again.

I had just 15-20 minutes for lunch and dropped into Grand Central Terminal. The usual suspects were slammed so I walked towards the back and found Eata Pita not too busy. I ordered the falafel combo and it was great! The hummus was excellent as was the falafel. The salad was just there to add some greenery. For $9.95 you... More

We needed a quick bite while visiting Grand Central Terminal. I love a good lamb gyro. It was average and we enjoyed it. Served its purpose!

We dropped off a friend and we came here as we were hungry and wanted to eat something until our late dinner plans. The chicken pita sandwich was very good and so was their hummus. Good place for a quick bite. The service can be a little slow.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
