I was expecting this place to be crowded on a Wednesday night being that is right on 9th avenue and exposed to all the theater people around 6p but surprisingly I got there just after 6p and found two sits available for my friend and I. Good selection of wines and the bartender also suggested the flatbread that looked more... More

A group of friends met here before dinner for a pre dinner drink. It's a small cozy bar with a few small high tables and barstool around the bar. We had some wine a d warmed up. There's a dining area that we will come back and try next time.

They have great wine at a good price and are not one of these mass places. Small and intimate. Good food. Flatbreads

You will love this place!! We stumbled upon this place while out looking for a really good wine. We found great wine and even better food. The food was small plates so we ordered a few. Meals ranging from warm olives to asparagus wrapped in prosciutto and many more made for an excellent evening. The service was amazing and although... More

We ate there before a broadway show with a local family member. The food was fine with modest size of a dish. The service was below average. I had the panini with mushrooms with great white wine.

We stopped here after our show and found a lovely little wine bar. The flat bread was great, it was enough to feed both of us, and they had a great selection of wine to choose from. Additionally, the cheesecake for dessert was a perfect way to finish off the evening. Definitely a nice little find that would be easy... More

Brunch with a nice view of 9th Ave - and the weather was warm so the windows were open, which made for a perfect setting! The Huevos Rancheros were among the best I've ever had, and be sure to save room for dessert - the homemade cheesecake is a must!

Some amazing dishes available here - this is not a boring diner! Stuffed French toast, unique omelets, mimosas, Berry Pancakes. Fresh, quality ingredients and wonderful service make this a place full of regulars and we'll worth the visit!!

Great place, cosy, great food and wine. The price by the glass is reasonable and the glasses are very generously filled. We have been here a few times over the last four years and we will be back. Our server was Teresa, great service thanks :-). The owner/manager is Bill, he does a great job!!

Description
Riposo is a wine bar cafe. Cute, cozy, about 30 can be seated. Friendly, active cafe. The flatbreads are huge and round and delicious. We had the lentil soup - very homemade. We stopped there at 10 pm on a Wednesday night after the theater and it was 90% full. By midnight it was 100% full with a table turn. We plan to go back for another flatbread. Would highly recommend.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
