Was in town when the Giants happened the play the Mets for the final playoff spot (an October Wednesday night). All the reviews are right - if you are a Bay Area sports fan you must watch a game here - but what I didn't know is that during big games you basically have to get to the bar more... More

Came to NY in October for a wedding while the SF Giants were vying for a Wild Card spot. Great place to watch SF sports teams, fun atmosphere, friendly staff and patrons. Got great recommendations for pizza joints and other attractions from local Giants fans. They don't serve food, but allow you to bring in food from other establishments.

We visited here as my husband is a huge fan of both the 49ers and the giants. We arrived late afternoon and found it to be a great place to stop for a drink or two especially if you love San Francisco stuff. The staff were polite and friendly and we got served quickly. I would recommend visiting this bar... More

Two bartenders for full sports bar, took ten min at the bar to get service, no food, on second room to watch, sound is way ahead of picture. Drinks more expensive than next sports bar we went to. No way to treat Bay Area fans!!

Having only one day in NYC on our way back home to SF, we had to stop and have at least one beer here. A lot of SF travelers stop here and appreciate the Bay Area sports theme. We got here on Monday so it was a slow night. A lot of Bay Area beer favorites on tap. We had... More

I was watching 5 NFL games with the bonus of an NHL game whilst drinking good beer....try and tell me that isn't a great holiday experience. This place is a 49er's bar so was a bit muted as they got stuffed last Sunday but the atmosphere was tell noisy, loud and fun. I didn't try the food but it looked... More

No notice on web-site indicating no kitchen however; allowed to bring in food. Pub next recommend by Finnerty personal( staff somewhat friendly but food sucked) not a friendly welcoming from anyone in Finnerty's made to feel like an outsider in establishment of FAKE 49er fans! Not worth a trip going there so don't waste your time

We are from SF so obviously loved this place. Had tons of transplants. Excellent beer selection on tap. Fair prices.

Staying in East Village

Neighbourhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighbourhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighbourhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
