Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

New restaurant in an old place near the Bryant Park Hotel on 40th street between 5th and 6th avenues. Excellent staff, terrific baked goods, and premade sandwiches. Very quick service plus the use of stools to sit on in the back of the shop to...have your drink and snack. A solid surprise to find this place open on Saturday morning of Thanksgiving weekend. Highly recommend. You might see a line in the store to order but it moves quickly and is well worth it. Give it a try!More

We were in a hurry so I grabbed a pizza sandwich. It tasted great. My daughter grabbed the Montebello and Espresso Tart and loved both of them. It's pricey but we enjoyed the food.

We were in the City for an early evening event. We'd been wandering through Bryant Park, and the food stalls gave us an appetite, so we decided on an early dinner. The location used to be another restaurant, one we used to frequent, so we...thought we'd try the new place. First impressions were good - nice decor, welcoming atmosphere, that sort of thing. As an added bonus, we had arrived during happy hour, when certain wines, and all of the pizzas, were $10. We chose to share an appetizer - Arrosticini Abruzzesi. - basically a lamb kebab. There were four very small kebabs in the serving, but it was enough for the two of us. Quite tasty. For the entrée, my wife chose Branzino, which was OK, although the green beans had clearly been frozen; I went for a clam pizza (Clam Pie) which was $10, as advertised, rather than the usual $27. It was a standard 10" individual pizza. The price was right, but alas the pizza was not. It was basically tasteless - I squeezed a small amount of lemon on it, and the only discernable taste was lemon. Rather a shame - if you want to sell pizza in the City, be aware that you have some serious competition, even at $10. The wines were perfectly acceptable. Next time, we'll try the food stalls in Bryant Park.More

This place is beyond classic- a real French bakery, everything made on site - the evidence in the sacks of flour stack up! The selection is awesome ( and I don't throw this word around ) They have kougin amman not often found and this...one is authentic as if from Brittainy! The chocolate decadence lives up to its nameMore

Along Bryant Park, this bakery has a restaurant next door with good pizza, upscale atmosphere. The baked goods are decent; the Kouign Amann & apple tart both delicious, the scones and muffins not as inspired.
