We wanted lunch having visited the 911 museum and memorial and were pleasantly surprised by this pub style sports bar. Friendly welcome and nice atmosphere although somewhat dark. Not noisy and plenty of places to sit if you don't want to be at the bar where there are multiple screens showing different sports. Waitress friendly and efficient, good choice of... More

This is a couple of blocks from my office and I come here after work on occasion and for the occasional retirement party. They have a nice selection of craft beers and the food is very good. My go to is the dark horse signature burger with egg, bacon and Jameson gravy on it, messy but delicious.

Popular pub style restaurant (dark atmosphere. quiet enough for conversation). Good business during lunch. Menu is typical bar food and is consistently good. Staff is very friendly and service is good. We enjoy Dark Horse.

Drinks are affordable and service quick and friendly. We ordered nachos and chicken wings - tasted ok. Would recommend for drinks or to watch a game.

Came here for a drink and some food with friends to chill after a morning of walking. Great atmosphere, very chilled out, the barman was great, very attentive. Drinks were great prices. I wouldn't rate the food, wasn't great and not worth the price.

Ideal location for a break after visiting 9/11 memorial. Great choice on menu and food was excellent - also great value by NYC standards. A great American style bar with the unique touch of friendly Irish staff. Best discovery in city 12 out of 10 !!!

This is a nice gem in the financial district. Located at Church and Murray street it's a short walk from the 911 memorial and the oculus. We dined here late evening and it was quiet but we were able to enjoy our meals while watching a football game on the television in our booth. We ordered the wings, and two... More

The bar food was very good! They have some good entrees as well! Try the chicken pot pie! There was only one guy waiting tables in there and even though he definitely could have used some help he was so friendly and gave great service!

Needed some respite from the summer sun and chanced upon Dark Horse. I had a fantastic steak au jus sandwich, 3 pints of Sierra Nevada and great service and company from the staff. Highly recommended

Neighbourhood Profile
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighbourhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighbourhood home.
