I stopped into Arbor Bistro for the first time last night to grab a small bite to eat with a friend. Our waitress was very attentive, which is the only reason I gave it 2/5..although, there was only one other table of guests so it's not like she was knocking herself out in a packed restaurant. I ordered a Salmon... More

Dont order thru seamless... what was supposed to be ~35 minutes turned into 1:10 hours. However, food was not totally bad, had to re-heat the shrimp, but I will be ordering from Wei West from now on...

The lunch deal here is good and the sushi is standard, but the staff were incredibly unpleasant. It's a small restuarant and rather than ask the person beside us to move his chair in, the male waiter simple approached out table whilst we were sitting at it talking, and aggressively pushed it aside without saying a word, so he could... The food is ok. Typical Chinese food. Tangerine Chicken was my favorite. Key word is "was". Seems the "chicken" is more of breading with a small, very small piece of chicken under it. Sushi is a better option, always fresh!

The prices for the lunch specials are very good and the food is served quickly. I found a few of the items bland though so I probably won't return.

Super atmosphere. Small quiet. Has a sushi bar with expansive menu. Thai options are solid. Veggies super fresh. Too notch saki menu. Wine and beer too.

This is our go-to place for a quick lunch. The servings are generous and the prices are good. Not my favorite but always dependable and quick service.

My girlfriend and I stumbled upon this restaurant before seeing a friend in a play. We both had varying seafood noodle dishes which were fresh and tasted very good. The beer was cheap as this was a weeknight and they appear to have extended happy hours. For dessert we ordered a NY cheesecake which was still slightly frozen and I... More

The food and service are very good here. Portions are just right. Combination platters start with a small soup and small salad leaving you enough of an appetite to eat the main course. Reasonably priced .

I wanted something quick but tasty near the NY offices and found this by chance. It's Thai/Japanese fusion I think but whatever it is, it's tasty. I had a Mango salad, bowl of Miso soup and crab roll and they they in a glass of wine. All for less than $25. Super tasty, super quick and super friendly. What else... More

Staying in West Village

Neighbourhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
