We met our daughter-in-law here for a drink at her suggestion. As usual she had just the right place to suggest. We had one drink each. The seating was comfortable and the noise level low for easy conversation. Prices were on target for NYC. Great location close to subways, as is most of NYC. They do offer food but we... More

I was taken to Weather Up by a couple of local Brooklyn-ites who I met at another bar who were keen to show me the real deal of where to get potent designer cocktails and boy did Weather Up hit the spot! After being eased into state of gentle euphoria with a delightful Tijunana Pharmacy cocktail (tequila, mescal, aquavit and... More

Having heard that Weather Up was the new hip cocktail bar, I expected more. Easy to walk past, with no obvious name on the outside, Weather up is a long thin bar. Tables or booths down the left hand side, stools at the bar on the right. The cocktail list has ten or so cocktails, all relatively new and using... More

Kinda stumbled into this place on a recommendation from someone we bumped into. For a Friday night it was very empty around Midnight, so not sure if we were there too late or too early. Music was too loud to talk or hear, so it's not the kind of place to go chill, but without punters, it's not the place... More

Arrived last afternoon/early evening on a Saturday with friends, after celebrating a PhD graduation. Great drink selection and staff - friendly and welcoming - very atypical TriBeCa and look forward to going back when in the area.

This is a lovely place to go for after work drinks or a special occasion, but bring your wallets as the drinks are not cheap. The bartenders know what they are doing so you will be well served (perhaps too well). It fills up so come early or late. There is a nice room in the back for groups with... More

Came here for early drinks with a friend and it's definitely worthwhile checking out their cocktails. Hopefully as this place grows, there will be more cocktail creations added onto their menu.

This is a well appointed bar with a bartender that knows how to make a drink- not cheap at $15 for a Black Vaquero (like a stepped up manhattan) but oh, what a superb drink! Also, the little snacks like the olives and roasted almonds are divine! Candle light, a little noisy but aren't they all on a Friday night?

Great cocktails, attentive and friendly service, great corner to tuck ourselves into, inventive food - though the Ceasar Salad left us a bit disappointed.

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighbourhood Profile
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighbourhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighbourhood home.
