Does it cost much to be friendly and polite? Obviously too much according to the staff at Mercer Kitchen. We popped in Sunday night for a post dinner cocktail. Rather grumpy waiter on ground floor told us that was for hotel guests only and to...More

Nice wine selection and service. The 2094 Boudreaux took some time to open up but was enjoyed after relaxing a while. The artichoke was lovely, the burger good, the fries were great, flat bread was good.

Whilst many NYC restaurants provide a wonderful restaurant week experience Mercer Kitchen certainly does not. The tarte flambée appetizer was bland and the pasta main course incredibly skimpy with a thin watery sauce. The apple cobbler dessert was flavorsome and was the only highlight. Poor...More

We went here for Restaurant Week and the three course, $42 dinner. Usually NYC restaurants like to showcase their most excellent items as they pick up new customers who've never tried the place previously. Unfortunately, everything our group of 4 ordered was average at best,...More

Hello Ben, You can bring your own cake. There is a cutting/plating fee of $5 per person. We also ask as a courtesy that you call the restaurant before hand and let us know so that we will be prepared. Thank you! Management

I really like their veal milanese, my husband likes heir ribeye. I would probably describe their dinner menu as basic American fare...with a gourmet twist.

Located at the Mercer Hotel, Mercer Kitchen brings a chic, sophisticated vibe to the heart of SoHo. When Mercer Kitchen opened in 1998, it immediately became a destination for New Yorkers, celebrities, and tourists. Situated in the basement of a historic building constructed in the 1800s, the restaurant was designed by Christian Liaigre as a combination of industrial and classic modernism. Chef Jean-Georges' American menu features market-driven, seasonal ingredients prepared in a simple yet elegant style, with favorites like the Tuna Spring Roll, Steamed Shrimp Salad, wood-fired pizzas, and classic Warm Valrhona Chocolate Cake. There is an open kitchen, where guests can sit back and watch the show. The perfect restaurant for group dining, special events and celebrations.
