Isabella's provided a lovely warm escape from a cold night outside. The menu was interesting and fresh and serving sizes were very generous. As nice as the meals were, the highlight was our wonderful waitress, Lauren, who was bubbly and friendly with just the right amount of attention. Because of the large portion sizes, we ran out of room for... More

Lots of friends recommended Isabella's for eating uptown Manhattan. We found both the food and service to be mediocre. We were seated promptly, but the food just wasn't great.

This is a restaurant that in the past we enjoyed going to. However Yesterday 6pm we called to book a table for 11 people for branch. No booking Hana the manageress said come by 10.30am and you will not have to wait . At 10am my partner called to try to book as we were meeting people who came from... More

While icy cold that night, our party of 14 benefitted from some radiant heaters and attentive service. Food was good (not mind blowing) including a nice ahi tuna entree, flavorful kale salads and traditional Italian fare too. Glad we did not eat indoors, mega crowded, mega noisy.

We stopped into Isabella's for a drink and got lucky-walked right up to the bar. This was around noon and it soon filled up quickly with the lunch crowd. We only had drinks, but the bar is extensive and my wife loved her French 75 cocktail! We enjoyed people watching and how these New Yorkers know how to dress!

Very nice brunch options for a rather reasonable price given its location, especially when you factor in the bonus cocktail. My screwdriver didn't send me sheets to the wind but was perfectly drinkable, accompanying a fine crab benedict. The clientele are a delight for people watchers... dowagers with dogs. A most enjoyable late Sunday brunch.

I can't imagine how any place could serve a better Sunday brunch. We visited while a family member was running the marathon and were treated to a free cocktail with our meals. The eggs Benedict were perfectly prepared and served while warm and the fruit plate was excellent and with great variety. The restaurant was busy and bright but not too... More

We recently had dinner at Isabella's near the Museum of Natural History. I was looking for a smaller restaurant with a bistro atmosphere that was away from the rush of the Times Square and mid-town areas. Bottom line is that I loved the place: service was great, food excellent, and the atmosphere relaxed and cozy. We had the hazelnut crusted... More

We made a booking at short notice ahead of the NYC marathon. Fantastic welcome and service from the staff. Waiter, Drew, was attentive and made excellent recommendations. Mains hit the spot and gave us a perfect lead in meal to the marathon. Desert - the chocolate box was an absolute stand out. Well done all around. We will be back!

I went to Isabella with my wife for a random lunch in mid-October, weather still pleasant enough for al fresco eating. Although we could easily see that most outdoors tables were free, we were asked to wait for more than 10 minutes until finally, after having asked again, being seated at one of the many empty tables. To be fair,... More
