We'd had a short walk in Central Park and were planning to attend the Museum of Natural History. Fancied brunch and "stumbled" across Isabella's. We ate outside and people watched. The Eggs Benedict and home fries were fantastic, dig under the bread and find the banana bread, you'll love it. I'd get there at around 11:30am, you'll need to wait... More

We were a party of 6. After a 20 minute wait (reservations not available) we were seated for Sunday Brunch. The atmosphere was nice, the service was excellent and the food and complimentary drinks were excellent. A perfect meal that everybody enjoyed. I highly recommend and a lot of people must agree that the place was very crowded. Even though... More

We never miss Isabella's when visiting NYC. We have always had a very nice meal, whether lunch or dinner. Innovative and well-prepared menu. Friendly and accomplished staff. Good wine list. Nice location on Columbus avenue, near the Natural History Museum. We've never been disappointed at Isabella's.

Had Sunday brunch with friends and the only thing that redeemed it was the free cocktails deal going on on Sundays. Should I say more? Had some different Benedict's all were standard, not creative with dried out toast and barely chewable hash. Go to shake shack across the street and have the take out in Central Park, cheaper and tastier... More

We went here twice on our week long trip to NYC. We first came for a early dinner which had a fixed menu with your choice of appetizer, entree & dessert for I think $16. It was excellent! Then we came one evening before going out..this time we sat on the patio..it was a beautiful night..the chicken with au jus and... More

Good food just across the street to AMNH. Prices a little higher than average, but the food is worth it.

Perfect location and clearly a great place for ladies who lunch! There were no men present except for my husband the lunchtime we were there. Good food but BAD , BAD service. I mean rude, uncaring and insolent service. My husband ordered Gazpacho for starters. Plonked down in front of him by a waiter who disappeared immediately and did not... More

How convenient to find this lovely restaurant right across the street from the Museum. The mahi-mahi with crabmeat and diced pieces of sweet potatoes was delicious. Our waiter was pleasant and professional.

Stopped by here on a Sunday morning for brunch given the lack of choices in the area and reasonably good reviews online. The restaurant was quite busy with tables spaced close together. The brunch came with a tiny glass of OJ that tasted like it came straight out of a frozen container and had been mixed with water. The omelet... More

By being on the corner across the street from the Museum of Natural History, Isabella's has been a fixture on Columbus Avenue. Though the food is tasty and is prepared well, the menu and wine list are very limited and the prices are high. For those who choose outdoor dining, you can't beat the location.
