The 7-course Chef's Tasting menu with Paired Wines was amazing. The pours were very generous. The dishes were artistically-plated, and absolutely delicious. Service was efficient and warm. The chef even made a substitution for one of the dishes upon request. Expensive, but worth every penny.

I've eaten at Aureole a few times. It's a very fine restaurant by any standard. Maybe I haven't ordered the right dishes, but I find it somewhat uninspired, especially at these prices. Again, its a very fine meal, but for my vote, there are other places to consider.

We booked a meal here as we were in New York for my 40th birthday and we wanted a special meal while we were here. When we arrived we were greeted by the hostess but then essentially ignored and we waited for several minutes before asking to be shown to our table. Once inside the dining area, the staff were... Went to Westminster Dog show and this was the only place close. We had lunch one day and breakfast. Both meals were great!!! Breakfast get the egg bake. It left me wanting more. Lunch I had the Tuna salad. It was really good but not enough tuna for me. You can't go wrong with any of the deserts. We had... More

I went with my wife and her parents last night for dinner and we sat in the main (rear) dining room. This was my first time back to Aureole since dining circa 1989 when it was located in a wonderful old brownstone on 61st street. While the new decor of the new location is clean and elegant, it is a... More

I hosted a 55 person dinner in the private room at Aureole, we were over-subscribed so had some spill-over into the main dining room. The staff and food were top-notch, I was very impressed. It is pricey, but you are getting first-class everything.

I used to go to Aureole often - but since they moved to west side, I like it less - the food is still very good but there is no edge that they used to have where they were at the east side. the setting is nice and the food is creative -there is nothing to fault the restaurant for... More

Dined at Aureole prior to a broadway show. I had no idea how close the restaurant was to Time Square, so this was great location to walk to broadway afterwards. We forgot to bring our tickets! And they were very quick to print them for us - saved the evening. They do rush the pre show crowd to ensure you're... More

This is a modern, sophisticated American restaurant that serves excellent food at surprisingly good prices. Service is professional and pleasant, the atmosphere is chic, presentation is outstanding and the food itself is wonderful. This was a great find by us and we are more than happy to recommend Aureole to all.

I went for lunch during restaurant week. I started with the Tuna Tartare which was excellent. The hake was almost bland and could have used a little more seasoning. The dessert was acceptable but nothing spectacular.

Aureole, New York is the flagship showcase for Charlie Palmer's unabashed, energetic signature Progressive American cuisine. Now under the culinary leadership of Executive Chef Marcus Gleadow-Ware, who learned the importance of the classics at London's world-renowned Savoy Hotel, the kitchen turns out elegant, simple dishes with sharply focused flavors like Wagyu Beef Carpaccio with crispy shiitake, scallions, taro root, ponzu and lavash cracker.

Aureole is located within the spectacular Bank of America Tower at One Bryant Park, the most environmentally advanced skyscraper in the world. Offering a range of dining options, the Liberty Room is smart and casual with walnut-topped tables and a back-lit, etched glass front bar with polished natural zinc top surface, the intimate Dining Room is designed in both lighting and texture to give off a golden glow, and The Halo Private Dining Room is wrapped with fabric panel and silver leaf walls, dotted with sculptural back-lit flame sconces. Now in its 25th year, Aureole is contemporary urban elegance.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
