From starter to dessert, the food here relies on variety with fresh ingredients and delicious taste combinations. The ambience is comfortable with attentive but not disruptive service. I would recommend it for out of towners to visit this peaceful restaurant, just steps from the hubbub of Times Square. For locals, it's perfect for a romantic evening or a family celebration.

Food was surprisingly inventive and delicious, service much more gracious than the room, which we greatly appreciated during a late December holiday season and at a peak time. The fois gras terrine with figs was an unusual presentation: a very long, very thin slice, trimmed on top with the slimmest layer of bitter chocolate and on the bottom with a... More

My husband and I had eaten at Aureole a couple of years ago and the first time was certainly better than this time. We ate in the back dining room--quieter and more elegant than the front, but in retrospect, we should have eaten in the front--more casual, less expensive. The food was good but for considerably less, we have had... More

It's a small place, not easily visible from the street. Great staff - friendly, welcoming, attentive. Two eating areas - one with wood floor and more casual, and an inner area with lower lights, carpets and much lower general noise level. I was with two friends and the woman who made the reservation had opted for the Prix Fixe -... More

Family and I went there as a closing meal of a several day trip to Times Square. Fancier than I google review showed, great environment right off of Times Square, can't wait to go back next trip at dinner time. Flat Iron steak was exceptional!

My wife had lunch here before a show. We had the pre-fixe lunch. The food was delicious with beautful presentation. The front desk was friendly. Our server was very. pleasant. He was on top of things and aniticipated all our needs. I did not have to ask for anything. The place was elegant and quiet in spite of having several... More

We wanted to eat at a place close to our hotel, and convenient to the theatre district, and this spot fit the bill. My wife opened up with the roasted heirloom beets which she described as delicious; I chose the Wagyu Beef Carpaccio and was pleased with my choice as well. We both chose steak for the second course and... More

The food was absolutely beautiful! Very much enjoyed every course in the tasting menu, very small adaptations for one gluten free with no impact on taste. The front of house staff were overrun and could do with some help! We were on time for our table but got left but the door waiting for 15 minutes as others got seated.... More

Aureole, New York is the flagship showcase for Charlie Palmer's unabashed, energetic signature Progressive American cuisine. Now under the culinary leadership of Executive Chef Marcus Gleadow-Ware, who learned the importance of the classics at London's world-renowned Savoy Hotel, the kitchen turns out elegant, simple dishes with sharply focused flavors like Wagyu Beef Carpaccio with crispy shiitake, scallions, taro root, ponzu and lavash cracker.

Aureole is located within the spectacular Bank of America Tower at One Bryant Park, the most environmentally advanced skyscraper in the world. Offering a range of dining options, the Liberty Room is smart and casual with walnut-topped tables and a back-lit, etched glass front bar with polished natural zinc top surface, the intimate Dining Room is designed in both lighting and texture to give off a golden glow, and The Halo Private Dining Room is wrapped with fabric panel and silver leaf walls, dotted with sculptural back-lit flame sconces. Now in its 25th year, Aureole is contemporary urban elegance.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
