The large meze platter and falafel were delicious and plenty of food for two people. Restaurant was on the noisy side, but quality of food and proximity to The Met was worth it. We would definitely return.

I love this place, especially their hummus and salads. It can be noisy because of the close seating, but the food is worth putting up with the noise.

Been here a number of times and always get the large meze platter to split two ways. Everything is fresh and the wait staff is exceedingly accomodating.

We had a very bad experience at this restaurant. The food was decent but we did not have good service. Our waitress was very argumentative with us about our order when we questioned an item on the check that we sent back and she called us liars. I have never seen such inappropriate remarks from a person working at a... More

The hummus and mashed eggplant tastes nice. The meat we ordered, including the "Karides Guvec" (shirmp) was really good. Service was slower than expected, but not too bad.

My husband and I came here for dinner tonight and our waitress chased my husband and I down the street and call him "disgusting" because he didn't tip her for her terrible service!! She was literally the rudest person I have ever met. There was an insanely hot pepper on my dish and it nearly burned my mouth off- she... More

I had a chicken dish where the chicken was overcooked and very dry. My wife and I both had salads which were fine. The tomatoes on those salads were excellent. At best this is no better than an average diner in New Jersey. Prices were very fair and reasonable. The bread that came with dinner was an individual loaf and... More

You know when you go to a Turkish restaurant and nobody speaks Turkish that the food is likely diluted down to Americanized tastes. This was the case with Beyoglu New York City. My wife and I dined here 2 years ago and had a much more authentic Turkish cuisine experience. First of all, the menu was scaled down to the... More

This is a middle eastern restaurant that gets requested repeatedly for our girls' night out. (We are pretty boring girls, but we have appetites). The atmosphere is lively, and with a reservation, it is easy to get a nice roomy table. They never seem to mind how long we linger and gab, and whether one of us is just having... More

great food with affordable prices. Was not greeted warmly but things got better once we were seated. The food was fresh and very tasty.

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
