Our party of 3 arrived for an early Sunday dinner, so the wait was about 20-minutes. The hostess said if she called our name, and we did not answer, she would give the table away. However as the place is small, and it was cold outside, the only place to wait was in the entryway, where we had to keep... More

Beyoglu is one of the best Turkish spots I've tried in NYC and I love it for its casual sidewalk dining. It's a great place to grab a glass of wine, order the mezze platter and watch the Upper East Side walk by. Very family friendly, good specials and reliable spot.

This is a favorite with one of city-dwelling friends and I agree. The upstairs dining area opens at a specific time and you should take advantage of it if dining is your focus more than the bar. The fish was delicious and the service attentive.

We stopped by Beyoglu after a long afternoon in the Met. We got a comfortable cheery table right away and had our water glasses filled immediately. Ordered the hummus appetizer which came with fresh hot bread. We all ordered the doner kebab which was tasty and very tender. Dessert of baklava, rice pudding, and a unique orange sherbet in an... Lived in the upper east side for 4+ years now and have ate here more times than I can count. Great food, reasonably priced and the staff is great. Offers outdoor seating in the summer and is a huge find in NYC.

The large meze platter and falafel were delicious and plenty of food for two people. Restaurant was on the noisy side, but quality of food and proximity to The Met was worth it. We would definitely return.

I love this place, especially their hummus and salads. It can be noisy because of the close seating, but the food is worth putting up with the noise.

Been here a number of times and always get the large meze platter to split two ways. Everything is fresh and the wait staff is exceedingly accomodating.

We had a very bad experience at this restaurant. The food was decent but we did not have good service. Our waitress was very argumentative with us about our order when we questioned an item on the check that we sent back and she called us liars. I have never seen such inappropriate remarks from a person working at a... More

The hummus and mashed eggplant tastes nice. The meat we ordered, including the "Karides Guvec" (shirmp) was really good. Service was slower than expected, but not too bad.

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
