One of our favorite places for dinner in Midtown Manhattan. we try to make reservations when we visit the city for a show, a day trip or an overnight stay. The service is great, the menu is extensive, and the food is fantastic. The atmosphere is electric(at times hectic). I'd recommend Becco to anyone who wants to have a great... More

Famed chef Lidia Bastianich is the force behind Becco. Enjoy the lunch special which provides bottomless servings of the 3 daily special pastas.

Nice service, professional staff. The only pasta on the menu is a trio of pastas proceeded by antipasti or Caesar salad. Salad is fine, nothing special, and antipasti reported good. The main complaint is that two of the pastas were not even al dente but too undercooked. (I guess there is some expectation that the pasta continues to cook but... More

Absolutely fantastic meal. Definitely pre-book or expect a wait but it's worth it! We were in a bit of a rush as had theatre tickets so annoyed we couldn't spend more time in the great atmosphere but staff were so welcoming and really helped make it for us, especially as we were in a rush!

This is one of my favorites places to go to when in the city. Okay, okay - it may be on the tourist trap of Restaurant Row but if you know what to order, you're golden. They are known for the all you can eat pasta trio. WHO can eat that much pasta? They provide you with an awesome bread... More

Thought this would be a good choice in theater district. Very crowded and noisy. Food just average. Hot antipasto the best thing about dinner. Wine good for the price do not order chicken was rubbery and risotto mushy. There are better options in the area

It was my first time at this long time institution on Restaurant Row which I have avoided like the plague being a native Manhattanite. We went for the house special, caesar salad followed by the three pasta of the day (all you can eat). Two of the pastas were really good, but the rigatoni was a little watery. The salad... More

I have been here for both business and personal, diners and lunches over the years. I truly like this place. I was in Manhattan during the holidays on a Thursday to purchase four tickets from TKTS for the Phantom matinee. I decided to go to one of my favorite Italian restaurants for lunch without a reservation. My family of four... More

Great food! Great wine! Great service! Made a reservation because we had play tickets and didn't want to be late - servers were attentive to our schedule. A group of ten celebrating a coworker..there was something for everyone. A bottle of red and a bottle of white set the tone with hot antipasto and delicious olives. Some had the pasta... More

After visiting Tony's Di Napoli I I was disappointed at Becco. I watch Lydia cook all the time on TV and I had high expectations. The pasta was al dente and the sauces were good but not great. I got the all you can eat three pasta deal which seemed a good way to sample the cuisine. We got a... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
