We had a wonderful dinner at St. Andrews a few years ago at Christmas. Based on the prior experience we decided to return. We were extremely disappointed. The service was abysmal from the server to the manager. The food was only okay, nothing special. It was not a busy time of the day as we were having dinner at 4:30... More

Popped in here for a beer on our way back to the hotel after sightseeing. Ended up staying longer than expected and decided to try the haggis. Not as good as Scotland but very very tasty. Great atmosphere and service would definitely go again.

We stopped in for a light lunch before a matinee theatre show and enjoyed crab cakes and other delights. The service was excellent at the bar.....bartender was wearing a "kilt"....and it was REALLY cold outside!.....and I will certainly return here on my next trip to NYC for theatre or whatever reason. Loved it!

We had lunch on a recent visit to NYC. I was delighted to see haggis on the menu but was very disappointed by what was served. It was more like a Shepherd's Pie, i.e. made with ground beef and some oatmeal. It definitely did not resemble haggis in the least! I decided to try the Sticky Toffee Pudding and was... More

We just happened to find this restaurant. We loved the food. There's a price fixe dinner that included fabulous short ribs. Our waiter, Brian, was a gem. Right in the theatre district it's a great place for before or after the show. Huge bar both upstairs and downstairs.

We had dinner here on Sunday after our matinee and were seated upstairs. The ambience was pleasant, and if you prefer a more casual atmosphere then sitting down stairs in the pub area is an option. The service was great- if at times a little too attentive (I didn't suffer from a lack of water and one time they began... More

I've been here 3 times now. First time, magical. Great service, great crowd. Second time, solid for brunch. Same great service, less of a crowd. Third time? Disappointment. Service at the bar lacking. Bartender way more into checking his hair at the mirror than in anyone sitting at the bar. Love this place, but would like to see them step... More

As this place was just up the road from the hotel, it ended up our local. Great atmosphere. Not just for Scottish people. But sorry to say your haggis, neeps and tatties isn't haggis, neeps and tatties. But it was edible and tasty whatever it was

Pleasant upstairs surroundings near to theatres. Service is pleasant. Pricing is reasonable. Good bar action. Food including chicken quesadilla and Baby back ribs were okay but not worth coming back for.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
