Me and my boyfriend wanted a great last dinner in New York and chose the restaurant Thalia. Unfortunately the servants were quite rude to be sitting us at the lounge area, instead of at a normal table. It has to be said, that there were many empty tables. It seemed very strange, until there came a Chinese family that also... More

Food was Good, wine- not too expensive, waitress a cutie and soft spoken. But the servers!!! Arg- four courses worth of putting the wrong food in front of me. Seats 1,2,3,4- read the slip!! Each ordered something else- once he took our plates and walked across the dining room and gave them to another table. Yikes! Isn't that a NoNo?!

I loved this place!!It was my first time, went for their brunch. I was impressed by the service, the place was really clean. Our waiter kept coming around often to keep getting us drinks and was very pleasant. We did not get rushed out after the brunch was over, we actually stayed two more hours and the place was not... My family group of 11 including one child in a wheelchair had a tasty lunch with great service by the staff. Everyone enjoyed their meal which ran the gamut from burgers to eggs Benedict. The waiter was very willing to adapt menu items to personal preference. All the staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely eat at this restaurant... More

This is perfect location for brunch before a show. Service can be slow so give yourself plenty of time-like 1 1/2 hours. They offer a complimentary drink with brunch or unlimited drink offer (mimosas, bloodied, or beer) for $20. Food was really good- omelettes were delicious with home fries and fresh fruit. Dad had the burger which was delicious and... More

Thalia was a pleasant surprise with its New American cuisine, lovely environment, and pleasant service. It worked as a pre-theatre spot. The skirt steak was fabulous, and the Thalia Burger , with its gruyere and bacon was excellent. Pan seared scallops were excellent. The sides were fine. Mashed potatoes were good, but not the highlight of the meal by any... More

We always passed by Thalia and were eager to pass by and try it until we did last week and it was a disaster. The menu served at the bar cant be served during dinner though the menu dinner is so limited and there are no varieties as you are fooled in the pics. The waitress was so mean and... More

The wait staff made sure that I got exactly what I wanted. I enjoyed the orzo, initially it was spicy but the kitchen did not mind redoing another one that was not spicy. I had the shrimp dish and it was good, they were not skimpy on the amount of shrimp for my entrée.

A decent enough restaurant with a good selection of small plates and meals. Like many NYC restaurants booking is advisable. Our service on the night was not great, they got one of our orders wrong and were not particularly sympathetic even though the replacement meal came pretty much when everybody had finished heirs.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
