When my wife and I are in Midtown we love to eat at this place. We always manage to get a seat at the bar, and are fortunate to have Jenya as our bartentender. She is always friendly, and attentive. This evening we had their Filet Mignon, and their Pollo Azalea. Both dishes were cooked perfect, and tasted great. Always... More

This small Italian restaurant is next door to the Gershwin Theater, home to Wicked. It was close to our hotel and the menu looked good and I was craving some Italian comfort food so we headed to Azalea. The maitre d greeted us warmly and gave instructions for our seating in Italian. Off to a good start. The negative here... More

We enjoyed a good meal and then a very easy walk to our theater. The pasta was delicious. Service was excellent.

Recommended by concierge at our hotel - good call. Like other reviews, portions not huge, but pasta dishes we had were awesome. Service attentive and subdued - "old school" - which I like. A bit pricey, but the quality of the food was excellent and considering the prices of other meals we had in NYC this was not outrageous.

While planning my NYC trip, I sought out restaurant options on Trip Advisor. With so many restaurants to choose from, I wanted to narrow it down to those that came highly recommended. I'm so glad I did! This restaurant is a Gem! The staff and the food were fantastic. We stopped in at noon with no reservation. We were seated... More

Apps were both good and bad. calamari was bland flavorless. Breccia was good. Veal wasn't shoe leather but if cooked 1/2 minute longer it would have been sides were very flavorful. Bring spice of choice they don't use many. Desert. Eh. Not quite finished. Could go on but let's just say I won't be back. Only other comment would be... More

Good food. Portions were small and service was certainly not with a smile. The bus staff was more polite and helpful. Dessert was good. Place was in a good location.

Stopped in for a bite before the theater (make a reservation). Great attentive service from Giovanni. Group had the gnocchi, salmon pasta and pollo pesto. All were wonderful. Save room for the tiramisu!

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
