This is a two level restaurant with the bar area on the ground level and the dining area on the second. There is an elevator for those who may not be able to climb the stairs. The dinning level is large and handsomely done. The restaurant is in the theater district, making it perfect for either pre or post theater.... More

If you want Indian food, Utsav is a must in NYC. We've eaten there several times over the years and return as often as possible. This time it was better than ever for many reasons, but mostly because we were able to relax and enjoy the experience not having to rush off to a show. The Lamb Chops were exceptional... More

Went for the weekday lunch buffet. The food was very good and the selection fairly wide. I particularly enjoyed the tandoori chicken and tikka masala.

We went at lunch time and there was a carte and a buffet. A few specialities (chicken archi, quinoa and potato) were a good starter and then the buffet with a nice selection of rice, breads, meat and vegetables. Not the usual xxx in curry sauce. The desserts from the buffet were disappointingly limited. Service was satisfactory.

I've been in a number of restaurants serving dishes of India. However, UTSAV at 1185 Avenue of the Americas, really surprised me with its ambiance, and welcoming atmosphere. Most importantly the Indian dishes and selections are unique, authentic and gastronomically delicious! Am glad I've accepted the invitation of a former colleague and good friend, Hash S.. to dine at UTSAV... More

Nice upscale Indian restaurant located right near Times Square. We went there for a pre show dinner. We got in just ahead of the crowds and sat down quickly...however they were not staffed properly and we had a long wait to get our order taken and served. The waiter was very courteous but way overworked. The food was fantastic. Make... More

2 mins walk from NYC Times Square is this place. It may be priced slightly above the rest of Indian Restaurants in the area, but it is definitely class apart from all of them in terms of decor, dining experience and rush. Food was good, no complaints. Only thing is on big occasions, expect a lot of crowd here and... More

It's tucked in on 47th between 6&7 Ave, and is a little hidden, but if you're as hungry as I was you'll easily find it :-) Really enjoyed this place, from the décor to the attentive service to the incredible tasty food The food quality and customer service were impeccable. All of the wait staff do a good job of... More

This was a return visit as we really enjoyed it the first time. Went in at 5.30 and it took a good 15 minutes to get someone to order. The first course came out wrong and a little cold. But after that was fixed everything else was fantastic. The chili chicken was to die for. Service was a little slow... More

We visited this restaurant as it was close to our hotel & we love Indian food. We had visited another Indian the night before and Utsav blew it out the water. The food at Utsav was awesome and very flavoursome. The only issue was that the restaurant was quite cold, so make sure you have warm clothes on.

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
