We headed to Rossini's because it was included on a list of local restaurants that we received when checking into our hotel, and our grandson asked that we eat Italian. When we reached the front of the restaurant, it seemed to be empty. All of the visible tables were unoccupied and there were just a couple of people sitting at... More

Rossini's has really classy feel and the service is perfect. We had lentil soup and grilled pork chop, and chicken dishes which were delicious. The salads and pasta courses we ate were bland and disappointing. Prices were fair for this area of Manhattan. The house pianist was brilliant.

Wow. My son said it's the best thing he's had in his life. The live music was fantastic and fun. The service was old-school fantastic and attentive. Just Wow. The lady taking coats was a delight. The gentleman who seemed to be the boss was so incredibly courteous. I would invite them into my own home. I've only been to... More

I discovered this authentic Italian by chance as I was walking by. It is like one of the old movies with lot of flavors. Even a live pianist adds a lot to the movie and atmosphere. It has very comfortable seating. Definitely a nice choice for special evenings for private or business occasions. The menu is rich with nice options... More

If you like classic Northern Italian food and attentive but unobtrusive service, this is your place. From the decor to the table settings and service, everything is classic fine dining. The bruschetta that arrived at our table with our drinks was a welcome treat. We wanted to try several different things. The restaurant was gracious about dividing each thing we... More

What a great place! Perfect family Italian restaurant. We had a family dinner for 10 and the meal was fantastic. The piano player was great too! Perfect place to celebrate a special occasion with family.

Our hotel concierge recommended Rossini's as a great family-friendly restaurant close to us. Our experience may have been jaded by the fact that we had just come off a transatlantic flight and were all jet-lagged, but I found the service very disappointing. Our waiter did not talk us through the menu and when I asked what he would recommend for... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
