We were 3 couples with a 6pm reservation on a Friday night. We decided to have a drink at the bar after checking in with the maitre d'. We were not rushed at all to be seated at the table. We sat at about 6:30/6:45 and they could not have been nicer. The food was great. We had fried calamari,... More

Our booking was made in May and I did advise at that time of our wedding anniversary on the date of dining but thought no more of it. We were greeted on arrival and shown to a well located table by a genuinely warm and friendly man and both wine and food orders were taken and processed quickly. Service was... More

Went there on Saturday night for dinner and to listen to some opera music. Dinner was very nice. The Calamari was tender and only very lightly breaded. The Veal Rossini was excellent as was the the Pasta Seafood special of the day. However, it was very noisely and it was difficult to hear the opera singers. Suggest they ask the... More

Service was very average on a busy night. Menu very broad but offerings are old style on the plate and somewhat overpriced for what you get.

This is true northern Italian cuisine. The food is soon good. If you like fish, its excellent! Jose Toral is an excellent host. He knows his foods and has that charm that few restaurateurs have these days. There is a bar, an informal front dinning room and a more quiet read dining room. If you want to avoid the typical... I have lived in this neighborhood for 40 years, have walked by this place forever and never had an interest in going in based on the facade. Well. When I finally did a few months ago ( and I am here now) what a warm, service oriented great place it is! First time here was a Friday with a fabulous... More

Went for a business dinner and all diners were very happy with their meals. I had the Osso Bucco, which was probably the best I have ever had. Extensive specials are a nice complement to the long regular menu. Service was great, atmosphere was what we were looking for.

Ate there with a party of four, two who enjoyed their meal and two who did not. I was one who did not. A chicken dish, which was presented well, but did not taste good. The chicken tasted as though it had been cooked in vinegar, and I ate the potatoes and veg, but not the chicken. My friends did enjoy... More

Don't normally review anything but this restaurant is fantastic. The food is not just spaghetti its what I imagine proper Italian to be. The waiters are very good and attentive without being in the way just right. If you are in midtown and fancy Italian do yourself a favour and visit.
