On a business trip I found one of the best Porter house you can have. The place is not of the cheapest ones, more than 500$ in 6 people, but has to be tried. Very good wines.

Usually food in US has very little or no taste at all but Wolfgang's among few of those places that is denying this. The place is very simple, old school stake restaurant. Tidy with the bar infront where you can have a drink while waiting for the table. Meat was done properly, no more than that and is what you... More

As you might or might not know steak houses never like solo guests. Of course this place is great. Had medallion filet during lunch. Ordered medium well but it was well done. No pink at all. Didn't complain. Still tastes great. Always wonder why in NY , they always serve bread cold. This place is satisfying. I guess my review... More

This NYC landmark location has plenty of history since the subway tiled ceiling was part of the original Vanderbilt Hotel with a private subway station for The Vanderbilts. But you come here to eat and this place has slipped. I have eaten here on several occasions and in the past couple of years it has gone south. We had two... More

Huge portions that are good, but very expensive for what it is. The place was packed and noisy, so it was difficult to hear conversation with the people next to you. You can get better food and an overall dining experience elsewhere (especially in NYC).

We had a large party on a very rainy night causing staggered arrivals to the restaurant and as things progressed through the evening, the wait staff did an incredible job of strategically placing orders to ensure the food quality was never compromised. The cocktails were excellent, the wine list expansive, salads, appetizers, and sides were all fresh, steaks and entrees... More

As a vegetarian, a steakhouse is not exactly the best place to go for dinner but as my sister and father are pure carnivores, I came along for the ride. The food arrived very quickly but the waiters were unfriendly and seemed totally distracted - they gave us vinegar when we asked for a vinaigrette sauce and mustard when we... More

Went for lunch on a weekday. The place was large but overpacked and noisy. Waiters were running around trying to do their best. Even the bar was full but they created a place for us. For the price we paid, it was a very poor ambiance and diner like service. Then the food came and made it all worthwhile. Lobster... More

Meat quality is very good. Had a Rib Eye, was very tender. Starters we had were really good. Plus for their old fashioned sauce, which is on every table. And as we came back 2 days later, asking to purchase one they gave us a bottle for free...which was pretty cool. Minus for waiting at the arrival. We had made... More

Our visit to the steakhouse started off on the wrong foot. I made a reservation one month in advance for 6pm. We arrived 5 minutes early and told it would be a"few" minutes. At 20 after 6 , I asked the hostess how much longer and she said a few minutes. I pressed her and she said 20 more minutes... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
