I start with the not so good part, my dessert tasted old fridge and that takes away one star. It is really a pity because everything else was just fantastic this evening. Got a table with a spectacular view, service was impeccable, the starters and entrees really really good. You pay top dollar but for this ambition and quality it... More

I found this restaurant while planning our trip to New York over New Year. This was the first dinner reservation we had in the city and was the one I was most looking forward to - central park views, incredible food, Mandarin Oriental....but it was such a let down. Firstly, we found the service quite slow and not very special.... More

We were lucky enough to be in NYC during the first big snow of the winter. We were seated with a stunning view of a snow covered Central Park which was definitely the icing on the cake. The Prix Fixe lunch menu was a fantastic value for the quality and quantity of food. I cannot say enough about how delicious... More

Asiate is,of course, one of the best restaurants in NYC. I've been to this restaurant two times, and also this year i decided to visit it. Let's begin saying that if i go to asiate i do also for the panoramic view they have:initially they assigned to me a table without a view; After some discussion i got a table with... More

My daughter treated my husband and me for our anniversary. She knows almost all high end eateries in New York City and is not afraid to spend for our birthday, mother's/father's day and anniversaries. Most of time, I felt those were hardly money worth. This place has awesome view from 26th(?) floor overlooking Columbus circle and Trump tower. Service was... More

... we didn't get the table at the window (which I had asked for with my reservation). Still we had a wonderful time, gorgeous food, impeccable service with a chef who obviously loves his job, with a good sense of humor, making you feel comfortable.

Good food. Great view. Great service. Very cool place to go. Not too crowded either. Would recommend but wouldn't visit again

We had a Christmas Eve tasting menu a few years ago and never forgot the unique combinations which were delicious and perfectly presented (and the park view from the 36th floor was exhilarating) This time we had a larger group and were seated facing the extensive glass walled wine cellar. Again, the food was creative and unusual which is what... More

We ate of the prix fixe menu @ $95 a head. the Kobe beef and steak tartare were brilliant. As it was my birthday they even brought out a beautiful little cake at no extra charge.

We came here for dinner hoping for a table near a window but given we only booked 2 days prior we weren't able to have one. The restaurant was very busy and we did feel rather crammed in, way to close to the tables either side of us. The set menus looked good so we both ate of these and... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
