Stop in ever time in the City. Jimmy and Una are superstars. Ask Jimmy about his staring role in the newly released documentary. Thank you for being.

Delicious, filling, lunch for 2 in a real neighborhood spot where regulars are greeted by name. Great prices and a place for tourists to go when they want to feel like a New Yorker. Wonderful!

A neighborhood favorite that has been discovered by those 'in the know', including Michael Bloomberg, Bill Clinton and as the framed photos all over the walls show, countless celebrities and politicians. Neary's is not your typical Irish pub. I would say that although the decor is unchanged in the 50 years of its existence, it's a more 'upscale' Irish pub... More

There are very few Irish pubs left in Manhattan like Neary's. An absolute classic. Stick to the basics for food. They make a nice sliced steak. Service is great.

I've been dining at Neary's with my family for many years. This is a wonderful, low key place with excellent food, warm & friendly staff that go out of their way to always make you feel welcomed. Proper attire is a must. Please don't walk in wearing jeans and a hoodie. If Jimmy (the owner) is around, he'll talk to... More

Every time we are in Manhattan we stop in to see Jimmy and eat at a restaurant that New Yorkers treat as their neighborhood club. Great comfort food, always meet interesting people, wonderful stories about all of the politicians who are pictured on the walls. Don't miss St Patrick's Day when the whole family works. Here's hoping Jimmy will be... More

I had heard Kathy Lee Gifford rave about this little pub on the "Today" show for years and while in New York for a taping of "Seth Myers" I decided to check it out. I was not disappointed. The place has a quiet elegance reminiscent of bygone days. The pork loin like lunch special was excellent and I had a... More

We visited Neary's today for lunch. We had read about it many times in novels and had seen it mentioned in the news. It was not crowded when we arrived around 1:30 on Halloween. The specials were about $10 less than the usual price. We each had one of the specials: Broiled Bluefish and lentil soup for me, and my... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
