Lovely cosy atmosphere, food was tasty but not the most amazing pan Asian restaurant I have experienced. The waiter was lovely but we did feel rushed as though they wanted us to eat quickly so they could get another booking in. There must have been only a few minutes between finishing our starters and receiving our mains and then the... More

We were here late on a Tuesday night. The decor is getting a little old and needs a refresh. The bar was not busy and feels a little stale. Overall OK.

One of my favorite restaurants in NYC. Service is good, food is always excellent. Great cocktails, consistently good sushi. Nice trendy spot, good people watching, usually a celeb or two. Fun!!

Still relevant, buzzing and delicious after all these years! Great prix fixe lunch menu, fast service and mid town location.

The food was average, as was the service, and the prices were high. We were expecting much better all around, due to the hype, so we were highly disappointed. There are so many other options in NYC. I will not be back.

Always have good food here. I've been here before as well as Las Vegas and the fish is always fresh. The location is perfect near Central Park South and 5th Ave. try the chefs roll, smoked Salmon roll and tuna crunch. All excellent. Reservations recently recommended. on weekends.

Tao seems to have a bit of hype around it, but don't believe any of it. This is overpriced, with very average food and staff with little personality. They seem to rush you out to try to squeeze in another table seating. We had to return one dish as it was cooked so badly. I'll never be going back here... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
