We came upon this restaurant by looking at the 2015 NY Magazine's best list. We checked out the menu online. They have a pre fix menu which didn't appeal to us and we were glad we didn't order it once we got there because the...More

We stopped by here for a drink after dinner, and had some drink and appetizers. Service was good, and wine was OK. One of the app's we tried was crispy pig ear, which was just so-so.. I've been to Chef Wylie's WD50 a couple of...More

We visited for a private luncheon and while the service was exemplary, the ambiance was nice (if a bit noisy), and the nibbles during cocktail hour were tasty, the lunch itself was very disappointing. Portions were beautiful but very small and overworked. I enjoy interesting...More

Very nice and tasty food. We loved 5 out of the 5 small plates we had, the service was a little bit "rushed" for a quiet late thursday evening and the noise level was quite annoying. Still,I highly recommended it but not for a romantic...More

This little place serves only small Plates. We shared six and were full enough, but we're looking forward to returning to try the Plates we missed. Really creative and very tasty. Unique cocktails as well.

This was an amazing dining experience. Attentive and unpretentious service. Sommelier was outstanding in that she was knowledgable and accessible. Wait staff excellent and food wonderful. My highlight was the Frogs leg wantons and my partner loved the pigs in blanket. Can't recommend this place...More

Nice tiny restaurant but the acoustic is more than horrible for my old ears (56 and 66 years). At long tables we were set near other people. It is a restaurant of small bites which you can shear if you wish. The Chef is a...More

Went to Alder with a fellow foodie and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly, can't understand the negative review I see here. We had great, fun food that was both tasty, innovative, and delicious. We shared a pu-pu platter (two each of five different apps chosed by the...More

A small, crowdy restaurant with excellent service. The food was made for sharing, and mostly had a funny twist to it. Especially the shrimps were vry good tasting. A very good selection of sake to complement the dishes.

East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village,
which offers plenty of unique small businesses
catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college
students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the
old-time neighbourhood feel that you can still
experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned
