Bagels & Company is okay. I find that their bagels are very doughy and they tend to be a little chincy with the cream cheese. Their everything bagel doesn't have a lot of stuff on it, so I call it a some things bagel. Their lox/nova are cut too thick.

The bagels here are pretty good and if you're looking for strictly kosher toppings, this place should be on your radar. However I have tried several of their salads – smoked salmon, humus whitefish-- three slices of different pizzas, and a couple of their pastries. Nothing very good in my Pinyan In the future, I have decided to search elsewhere.... More

The sign outside trumpets new ownership, but the service remains indifferent. I called on the night before my visit to ascertain the hours of operation, and it took fifteen rings for someone to pick up. When I arrived in the morning, the people behind the counter looked right through me and served someone who'd arrived after me. The shop has... More

Bagel and Co now under new ownership. There are a variety of bagels to choose from I like the egg bagel as well as the flat bagel. Other bread selections include challah and rolls. There is a nice assortment of different types of cream cheese I bought the scallion cream cheese very good. In the past I have gotten the... More

The food is the best thing about the place. Loads of different kinds of bagels and fillings. I chose tuna salad on a whole wheat bagel. Stuffed with tuna and celery mix it was delicious. Service was brusque and rushed, never been to this place and they expected me to know how and where to order whats as they also... More

A good New York flavor of tasty bagels & drip coffee. A stop-and-go place. Cash only & typical New York service without smiles.

We had the misfortune of eating at Bagels & Co. today. The food was average to poor. Almost all of the tables were dirty--I kept looking for a clean one and finally found one near the cold door rather than sit with crumbs left and not cleaned by management. The folks behind the counter (not a smile to be seen)... More

We had breakfast here twice while staying at 79th and Amsterdam, and the bagels were awesome. Our favorite was the Everything bagel - perfect blend of crispy and chewy.

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
