visited this pub as a neutral place to meet with a business client. the staff was super friendly and the bartender Mark was extremely helpful with some local recommendations. great atmosphere so we came back for 4pm happy hour where the owner of the bar greeted us personally and offered to buy a round as he remembered us from lunch.... This "pub" was near my hotel and I decided to grab a meal and return to my room after a long day of work. The atmosphere was "festive" as it was a Friday and the service was friendly and fast. The hamburger was cooked to my liking and as I had requested. There is a good selection of beers on... More

We went as a low key place to have dinner after seeing a show. (It was on our way to the train). The food was delicious, service was amazing but not intrusive. Drinks were typical for this kind of bar in NY. We had four people and spent about 30 bucks a head which included dinner and an average of... More

I'm Irish, I know Irish American food. Maybe I chose wrongly, but the fish and chips were a let down. Maybe my mom is a better cook, I don't know. But I know I was surprised at the underdon fish and the batter couldn't hold up under a splash of vinegar. Comfortable place. Attentive management but disappointing meal.

Stopped in for a couple of drinks before our dinner elsewhere as we were visiting with some friends. The bartender, Mark, was very attentive and the bar itself was pretty busy for a Monday afternoon. We enjoyed our drinks at the bar, and glanced at a menu even though we had reservations elsewhere. There is table seating available if you... More

Went with my wife and a friend, burger was ok at best but small and just a bun with meat! Our friend had sausage and mash which was 3 sausages and a tiny pot of gravy! Poor food, overpriced but decent service. Gents pretty disgusting!

My husband, son and I ate there last week. It should have been our first clue when we walked in---the bar was nearly empty (I think one person) and no one was eating. This was during a week that New York City was packed with tourists. The bartender (a female) had absolutely no personality and looked like she rather be... More

If you ever get the chance you have to come to this bar just off 5th avenue. We turned up just as the final of euro 2016 kicked off. With over a dozen TV sets in the pub viewing the game was not an issue. Very friendly and attentive staff. A dozen draft beers on offer all the American favourites.... More

Just had drinks one evening, barman was great...... I think! He was very loud and in your face, but we found him funny. Suppose he could be taken the wrong way.

Shocking food, everything deep fat fried, and so fried they fried the flavour out of it! Told the waitress it was bad, politely, she turned her back and then continued cleaning a table. Apologised later begrudgingly.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
