Metro system is easy and price reasonable. We are in New York for 4 days but travel mainly 3 days.Unlike most other city, it does not have a three days pass. Costco of a 7 days pass is $31 for unlimited trips. It does save lots of legs work and enable one to enjoy the cit more. Also a great chance to... More

The only thing to like about New York city subways is that the trains efficiently move tens of thousands of passengers a day through a very congested city. Going into the subway tunnels is like descending into the filthiest smelliest place you can imagine. There is a slimy gray scum coating everything with a layer of trash over that !... More

we visited the location in the basement of 1285 6th Avenue in the UBS building. It is across the street from Radio City Music Hall. We had just enough time between the tour and the show and needed a place to get a quick bite. It is clean and neat and fast and you just could not beat the location.

Download the free NYC subway app to help guide you through the subway. Just remember the difference between "Uptown" and "Downtown" and you will be able to navigate to neearly anywhere you want to go. With thee exception of the Times Square shuttle, there is virtually no way to go crosstown on the subway lines so either walk it on... More

Great way to get around the city and very reasonable. Easy to understand from the maps and you can get everywhere. Some great characters to entertain while waiting for the train

Save time and money. It's not as dirty as they say, and not as dangerous. Millions of people use it everyday and it's excellent.

As always with Subway, you get what you ask for, but conveniently it is always consistent. That's the beauty of the Subway and other franchises. Often an oasis when you just need something quick and on on the hoof.

This is ok once in a while when you need a quick something to eat, and the best one, we have tried, is situated 200m from the bull in Wall Street (nice and clean). But its 'concept food' so to speak, so you might consider pizza with some more personality instead. Mr. and mrs Wiborg from DK.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
