This is the 5th time I have eaten at Schapiro's in NY. The owner also prepares much of the food. We absolutely love the "meza" of salads that they serve along with fresh, warm challah which was outstanding. Don't miss the kale and fried artichoke...More

Description
Named after Schapiro's Kosher Winery, the last winery in Manhattan, this recently established eatery and cocktail bar faithfully celebrates and serves the Lower East Side. As part of it's mission to preserve the Lower East Side's history and cultural heritage, Schapiro's nostalgic- industrial ambiance was crafted with salvaged scraps and artifacts from iconic LES businesses, and the bar itself was partially construction from reclaimed wood from Schapiro's Winery. Schapiro's New American cuisine with a distinctive Jewish tilt animates the Jewish/Eastern European flavors that have defined the area for over a century. Our daily dinner, weekend brunch and late night dining menus focus on locally sources ingredients, with finds including Streit's matzo and Local pickles. Our bar features unique signature cocktails, curated by Natasha David of Proprietors LLC, an all American wine list and a NYC-centric beer selection. Schapiro's elegantly industrial ambiance, chic cocktail list and diverse menus make it the ideal place for spontaneous socializing and orchestrated gatherings alike. Whether you're joining us for our daily happy hour from 4-7pm, or gathering for a special celebration, Schapiro's is committed to providing a superior experience to all guests.
