I was apprehensive about visiting Nobu, I must admit. I'd seen it on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, heard people bragging about it in meetings, and assumed it would be one of those overrated, overpriced restaurants where you'll find business men in suits, with no clue how much a apple tart would cost. I couldn't be more wrong however and... More

Nobu is most certainly an upscale restaurant with an upscale clientele. It has a very nondescript entrance - those who know Nobu don't need to ask where the door is. As soon as you walk in you are surrounded by luxury - gorgeous fabrics, plush seating, fine leather. The Maitre D will greet you personally and escort you promptly to... More

Ok, I'lll start by saying that it is possible that I enjoy eating too much. We are not yet lucky enough to have our own Nobu in montreal, so whenever I visit somewhere that has a Nobu, I make it a point to reserve a table! We started with the sashimi salad. It was so lovely. The dressing is beautiful... More

Not our first visit, nor will it be the last. We got the Omakase (chef's choice), and every single course was fantastic. The restaurant was packed but they were still able to give great service.

I had the worst experience ever here. I don't live in New York but was here visiting. I want my experiences to be enjoyable and not disappointing. The minute we got to Robu, we were not greeted nicely. Took forever to get seated. When we finally got seated, the server was short with us and seemed distracted. The service was... More

For our last night in NY my husband and I wanted to dine at Nobu. We are frequent diners of the Melbourne location so visiting the original NY restaurant was a must for us. The restaurant was warm and inviting and from the moment we walked in the door, we had exceptional service from all staff we interacted with. Now... More

We had lunch at Nobu with me taking the sushi/sashimi combo (which comes with a miso soup and a salad for $38) and my wife the Udon soup / tempura combo (approx. $32). The sushi/sashimi was good, the noodles ok. Total cost for 2: $90 - a bit on the pricy side Nice atmosphere Very friendly waiter To be recommended... More

We were lucky to walk in on a recent mid-week night and snag 2 seats at the bar w/ no reservation. They were about the only 2 available seats in the place, it was packed. This was our first visit to this Nobu, we'd been to the one on 57th several times when we use to stay in Midtown. Anyhoo,... More

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighbourhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighbourhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighbourhood home.
