I stopped at both Magnolia locations on my trip to NYC. This one is a little more old and quaint, fitting of the area. I always wanted to go to this location (big Sex and the City fan) . I read many reviews raving about the banana pudding, so in addition to my cupcake (chocolate with vanilla buttercream) I got... More

The Magnolia Bakery on Bleeker Street is a cool little shop with absolutely delicious pastries. The selection was impressive and the staff was solicitous, polite and helpful. Highly recommend.

My husband and I made sure we to come here our last visit. The cupcakes were flavorful and they had a big selection. It is a bit of a tourist attraction and there seems to always be a line. It did moved quickly though and the staff was super friendly. I will visit again!

If you love cupcakes and sweet treats this is the place to go. Above all the banana pudding is phenomenal, you can't visit nyc and not try out banana pudding.

Very nice banana pudding and lemon bars! Didn't like their cupcakes for which they are famous, you can find much better cupcakes somewhere else!

We went to the Magnolia Bakery at Woodbury Commons, but I'm sure their bakeries are pretty much to par. We ordered the banana pudding, and me not being a banana anything flavoured fan, actually enjoyed it. We also tried their blueberry cheesecake which was also mouth watering. The blueberries were very sweet and went well with the creaminess of the... More

A variety of cupcakes flavors from Magnolia bakery makes for a great substitute for a birthday cake for an adult party. Everyone gets to choose what they want, and no one has ever been disappointed.

Ok, I am a huge Sex and The City fan, so Magnolia Bakery and a stroll down down Perry Street to see Carrie Bradshaws apartment is a tradition. This time I got a Red Velvet cheesecake and a coffee. Heaven after a long day traveling. Very friendly staff. Open late !

Went there late in the evening so not as huge a selection as would be earlier in the day but managed to purchase lots to satisfy our collective sweet tooth. Get the banana pudding. Wished I had bought the biggest one...delicious. OMG so delicious. Also had coconut cake and blueberry crumble too. All delicious. Fav is the banana pudding. Mind... More

Staying in West Village

Neighbourhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
