We had a good experience. No complains but nothing to remember about. From the food to service to interior design, I feel everything at Daniel was standard. Given the celebrity status of the chief and the restaurant, I expected more and didn't get it. If you are visiting from out of town I'd recommend going to something more special, with... More

One of my best dining experiences has been at Daniel. I have reviewed many dining establishments over the years on tripadvisor, and I will tell you, if I could give more or a higher rating to Daniel, I would. This is not an inexpensive place by ANY means. It is probably one of the most costly restaurants I've enjoyed. But... More

We had the loveliest time with the staff at Daniel for our anniversary. From the moment we entered the restaurant, we felt well cared for from getting drinks while we waited to having the maitre d' hail us a taxi back to our hotel. The ambience was romantic and quiet, the drinks were incredible (there was a frozen lotus in... More

Daniel is probably my favorite restaurant! I am a native New Yorker, so I have been fortunate to have experienced the gamut of budget dining to Temples of Gastronomy. Daniel's is obviously in the latter category. You have to remember when you dine at Daniel, that while the food is your primary reason for visiting, in essence you have to... More

Fantastic food and service. We were six total and all the dishes were exceptional. Loved the Madeleines at the end of the meal, nice touch!

Absolute deliciousness with service to perfection. We were treated like queens. All of the food was well prepared, we opted for the prix fixe. The lobster salad and foie gras were great starters and the suckling pig and wagyu beef were completely flavorful. We included the wine parings and were not disappointed in any of the choices made for either... More

This is probably the best restaurant in NYC. We visited the lounge area, which was very nice and you can order a la carte. Venison was excellent, the presentation is superb. We receive a lot of tasting option, which are all unbelievable interesting and high-end taste. The bread was so good also. The service is impeccably, which was expected, but... More

We have heard of Daniel's as a must visit place for fine dinning in NYC and decided to finally try it out. Having dined at many Michelin star establishments throughout the world including Noma, 1947, Jean Sulpice and the list goes on we expected a stellar evening. Unfortunately this was a big disappointment. We opted for the four course menu... More

Our second time in the restaurant, our first at the entrance lobby... and it was also a perfect dinner. Very professional service and delicious food and wine. The manager came often to the table to make sure everything was fine and was extremely kind and helpful. Our cannalais souvenir for the cafe du matin was magnifique.

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
